Bungie

Bungie Inc., based in Bellevue, Washington, started humbly in 1991, founded by Alex Seropian and later joined by Jason Jones. Initially focused on Macintosh games, Bungie rose to prominence when acquired by Microsoft in 2000. Their project, Halo: Combat Evolved, became Xbox’s flagship title, defining the console’s identity. The game’s success turned it into a billion-dollar franchise, propelling Xbox and Bungie to global fame. After parting ways with Microsoft in 2007, Bungie retained creative independence and continued crafting acclaimed titles, including the highly successful Destiny series.
