Story Highlights
- Ever since the PlayStation 5 Pro was announced, more and more games are getting optimized for it.
- God of War Ragnarok is one of the first titles to receive the “PS5 Pro Enhanced” label.
- Another title, which is more of a Soulslike nature, has now been added to the growing list.
The PlayStation 5 Pro got off to a ravishing new announcement on September 10, 2024, when Sony showed off its latest console to the world. It’s not here quite yet, and the company is plotting a November release for the Pro, but before then, we’ve already started to see some of the games that are going to be Pro Enhanced. As of today, another one has been added to the catalog, and I couldn’t be happier.
The PlayStation 5 Pro is about to welcome Lies of P with open arms, the developer announced on October 16, 2024. The Soulslike effort by South Korean developers Round8 Studio, who is already known for Bless Unleashed, and Neowiz Studio, has successfully made a mark on the genre, offering fresh gameplay, a fantastic atmosphere, and vibes of Bloodborne 2 that you know you’re not getting from FromSoftware anytime soon.
Fan reaction is obviously great because Lies of P is already a stunning title from a visual perspective purely, so getting to replay it on a more powerful console is nothing short of a treat.
Maybe the perfect opportunity to return to it with the Pro and the upcoming DLC. Lies of P was one of the best games in recent years in my opinion,” comments one u/bersi84 on Reddit.
eXputer reviewed the Soulslike as well, rating it 3.5/5.0 while praising its solid combat and compelling storyline, which is a pleasant surprise for a game belonging to the hellish Soulsborne genre.
The PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced Library Grows Every Day
Lies of P isn’t the first title to get the PS5 Pro Enhanced tag, and it surely won’t be the last. The above-posted trailer by PlayStation showcases a wealth of games currently getting optimized for the forthcoming consoles, including:
- Dragon’s Dogma 2
- Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
- Stellar Blade
- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
- Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Demon’s Souls
- Alan Wake 2
- Resident Evil 4
- Rise of the Ronin
- Gran Turismo 7
- Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
God of War Ragnarok too has received said tag for the PS5 Pro, and anyone who’s ever played the title already realizes how gorgeous the Santa Monica action-adventure genuinely is. Let me know in the comments ahead if you’re looking forward to the PS5 Pro and whether its lofty price tag concerns you.
