Story Highlights
- God of War is one of the most established PlayStation game franchises of all time.
- As per a new listing spotted online, rumors of God of War Greek Saga Remastered are spreading like wildfire.
- There have been previous rumors of a similar remastered collection as well, which adds to the story here.
The God of War franchise needs absolutely no introduction to gaming fanatics, but it has been long since the IP saw any new action. Of course, this doesn’t count the 2023-released Valhalla DLC, which Santa Monica Studios ever so gracefully bestowed upon fans and followers of the series for free. Now, however, a new development is pointing to something else entirely, and I’ve already started getting my hopes up.
Known online video game marketplace Instant Gaming has put up a rather obscure listing, featuring a cover photo titled God of War Greek Saga Remastered. Not really sure where this came from or whether Santa Monica Studio is looking forward to pushing this out, but it’s certainly worth talking about.
Of course, no other details are available at the moment, except for a vague mention of 2025 as the release date. The listing cites PlayStation Store as the vendor/manufacturer, but there’s really nothing else to go on here.
The God Of War IP Is Likely Getting Another Iteration Sooner Rather Than Later
It bears mentioning that this isn’t the first time we’ve heard God of War remastered rumors spring around. Industry insider Nick Baker spoke about the project in question about a year ago, affirming that he believes God of War remasters are in the works. Couple that with the developers refusing to talk about any of it, and you might have something to go on about here.
