The Nintendo Partner Spotlight Sale Is The Perfect Excuse To Get These 6 Gems

No first-party games on sale this time around, but the promotion is welcome all the same.

Story Highlights

  • The Nintendo Switch is an incredibly successful handheld gaming console with a diverse game catalog.
  • A new sale on the Nintendo eShop has brought an array of titles into the spotlight with reduced prices.
  • Games such as It Takes Two, the BioShock titles, and more come across as more than just worth it.

The Nintendo Switch has got some pretty great exclusives in the name of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Odyssey, and others, but the iconic handheld console isn’t exempt from its fair share of third-party titles as well. Thanks to the recent Partner Spotlight sale that’s now live on the Nintendo eShop, plenty of great gems had their prices cut and reduced substantially.

But to save you time and energy, I took the liberty of rounding up 6 of the best Switch titles you can pick up during this promotional event right now, and get amazing bang for your buck in return. However, these savings aren’t going to stick around forever. The Partner Spotlight occasion expires on 8 April, so make sure to align your purchases before then.

6 Of The Best Discounted Games You Can Buy For The Switch Right Now

With no further ado, here are the Nintendo Switch games that your wallet should be leaning toward in the wake of the latest sale event at the company’s official storefront.

1. It Takes Two

  • Release Date: November 4, 2022
  • Developer: Hazelight Studios
  • Genre: Platformer

Starting off the list is a fantastic couch co-op game that has its roots dyed deep into local multiplayer. Pretty much in the same vein as the protagonists of It Takes Two turning their lives around, coursing through this title with a loved one offers some incredible memory-making experiences, and this is first-hand information that I’m revealing to you here.

2. BioShock: The Collection

  • Release Date: May 29, 2020
  • Developer: Blind Squirrel Games
  • Genre: First-Person Shooter, Thriller

Coming packed with the majority of the content that has happened to grace the BioShock franchise to date, this nicely packaged bundle should be your perfect intro to all three main BioShock games. It’s priced competitively at $9.99 at the moment, making it possible to dive right into Rapture and explore breathtaking environments across the span of the three BioShock titles. Don’t miss out on this one, period.

3. Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown

  • Release Date: January 18, 2024
  • Developer: Ubisoft
  • Genre: Side-scroller, Metroidvania

Don’t get me wrong Switch fans, but I feel like this console works wonders when there’s a side-scroller at the helm. Either that or some other mystic reason, but I can say that I didn’t enjoy Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown on my PlayStation 5 as much as I did on my Nintendo Switch. This platformer is a must-buy if you’re into Metroidvanias, and not just any, but fast-paced, high-quality, and uniquely drawn Metroidvanias.

Although The Last Crown is a far cry from the usual Prince of Persia games, Ubisoft has done a splendid job at crafting a world that feels original and refreshing to experience. At $29.99, you cannot go wrong with it, and that’s putting it simply.

4. Doom Eternal

Doom Eternal Isn’t Just a Game, It’s a Total Experience
  • Release Date: December 8, 2020
  • Developer: iD Software
  • Genre: FPS

Everything can be short-lived, but Doom is Eternal. That’s what I’ve come to believe after going through this cutthroat, chaotic first-person shooter that has the protagonist slaying demons like a bat out of hell. A competitive (but equally fun if not more) multiplayer mode, followed by a fairly stretched narrative campaign makes Doom Eternal a great game to pick up for $9.99 in the wake of Nintendo’s current sale.

5. Borderlands Legendary Collection

  • Release Date: May 29, 2020
  • Developer: Gearbox Software, Turn Me Up Games, Inc & Blind Squirrel Games
  • Genre: First-Person Shooter, Open-World, RPG

Borderlands is characterized by absolute mayhem, made entertaining by the added touch of unfiltered humor. With the Borderlands Legendary Collection that’s on sale right now, you get all the Borderlands games at your disposal, save for the latest one. These include Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition.

Not just the base games, but you also get a ton of additional DLC stuff with this bundle, so the replayability level goes through the roof for the interested. Make sure you give this a shot if you’re into chaotic first-person shooters with brimming loot-and-shoot mechanics.

6. Lego Harry Potter Collection

  • Release Date: October 30, 2018
  • Developer: Traveller’s Tales
  • Genre: Platformer, Action-Adventure

Although there are four dozen different Lego games out there, the Lego Harry Potter Collection stands to be my absolute favorite. Perhaps it’s my love for the Harry Potter series or the way these Lego Harry Potter games handle themselves on the Switch, but there’s one thing that I know for sure: You won’t regret picking up this bundle for $9.99.
