EA lot of ARPG titles have been released in the past decade, but none of them match the level of Elden Ring. These games were predictable and your decisions had no output on the final ending of the game. This is where Elden Ring distances itself from the competition. Every decision that you make in-game has a direct impact on the ending. Your choices in different questlines decide what weapons and rare items you will get.
They also decide how the quest will ultimately conclude. The same can be said about the ending of the game. Multiple endings have been discovered that completely change your final game experience. Since the game’s release in late February 2022, players have found that there are six possible endings to the game. All these endings show different consequences for our protagonist and tie up the game in a unique way. The Elden Ring Age of Absolute is the rumored seventh ending of the game.
Age of Absolute Ending

This is the long-rumored seventh ending of the game. This ending was uploaded by Elden Ring YouTuber Garden of Eyes on the 1st of April, 2022. This video took the entire community by storm as people were 100% sure that this ending was authentic.
To supposedly trigger this ending, you would have to defeat The Elden Beast and choose the option to Usher the Age of Absolute.
What follows is a cutscene that shows our character mend the Elden Ring. In the background, we see that the two fingers and three fingers how somehow merged forces. In doing so, they have somehow turned our character into a god. As soon as this video was posted, everyone had only one question in their mind. Is this ending real or not?
Is Age of Absolute a Real Ending?

Sadly, the video posted about this ending was not authentic. It was a video created by modders and was posted on the first of April as an April’s Fool gag. The prompt saying “usher the age of absolute” is not present in the game files. The same can be said about the kneeling animation at the end of the scene and the five-hand model.
However, the voice line mentioning the age of absolute does exist in the game. This implies that the ending was originally supposed to be a part of the game but was ultimately cut by the developers. No one truly knows how and what this ending would have entailed and how would it have affected our character.
Other Six Endings In Elden Ring
Here are the other six discovered endings that are true and are not modded at all in Elden Ring.
The Age of Fracture Ending

This is the default or basic ending of Elden Ring. The Age of Fracture sees our character repair the Elden Ring and become the Elden Lord. This is unanimously considered to be the true ending of the game. It sees our character accomplish everything he set out to accomplish at the start of the game. This ending also signifies the end of the dreaded Age of Fracture and gives a positive outlook of the future ahead.

The final shot of the video also sees our character sitting on the throne as the voiceover signifies the end of the Age of Fracture. This final shot is cathartic for a lot of players as it shows your character reaching his end goal.
As this is the more standard or basic ending, you don’t have to do much to unlock it. The Age of Fracture ending requires you to battle and defeat the final boss of the game. This may seem simple enough at first but the final battle can be grueling to say the very least.
The Final Boss of the game is a two-phase battle that sees you go head-to-head with Radagon of the Gold Order and The Elden Beast. You will have to travel to the Elden Throne to trigger this insane boss fight.

The first phase of the final boss fight is a battle with Radagon of the Golden Order.

Radagon is a tall god wielding a hammer that was used to shatter the Elden Ring. He is the other half of Queen Marika who is the current ruler of the Lands Between. This can be a long and arduous battle. So, you must come prepared and use all your buffs and charms before you start the fight.
Radagon has a wide array of combo and power attacks that all deal significant damage. The best strategy to defeating Radagon is to attack him in between his combos and dodge the power attacks. The hit and move strategy can help you defeat him safely and move on to the next phase.
Once you have defeated Radagod, a cutscene will play that will see him transforming into the Elden Beast.

The Elden Beast is the final boss of Elden Ring. This boss has a plethora of attacks that have the potential of wiping out half your HP if you are not careful. You can read more about the Elden Beast in our Elden Ring Bosses Tier List.
After you have defeated the Elden Best, you will be able to mend the Elden Ring and trigger the Age of Fraction ending cutscene. This ending has a lot in common with the Elden Ring Age of Absolute ending.
The Age of Stars Ending
This Elden Ring Ending is directly linked with the Ranni questline. To trigger this ending, you will have to defeat the final boss as well. However, once you have defeated the final boss and make your way to the broken Elden Ring, you will choose the option to Summon Ranni.

After being summoned, Ranni will essentially take over from Queen Marika and will become the new ruler of The Lands Between. With this newfound control and power, Ranni will bathe the Land Between with moonlight. This will also help her claim all the souls that were trapped by the Erdtree. Speaking of Erdtree, you can view our guide on how you can find the Erdtree Greatshield Location here.

This ending was a point of contention between a lot of players. Some consider this a good ending because Ranni grants everyone freedom and she destroys the old power structure. However, many players doubt Ranni’s true ambitions. So, the meaning behind the ending is subjective to the point of view of the player.
There are a series of steps you would have to properly perform to trigger this ending. Firstly, you would have to fight and defeat Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon.

If you are facing any difficulties defeating Rennala, you can follow our step-by-step on how to Beat Rennala.
Secondly, you will have to complete the entire Ranni questline.
Finally, and most importantly, you will have to put the Dark Moon Ring on Ranni’s Finger. This will help her become a god and give her the necessary power to replace Queen Marika.

The Age of Duskborn Ending
This is a variation of the Age of Fracture and Age of Absolute ending. In this ending, you will use the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince to mend the broken Elden Ring.

Doing this will restore the Rune of Death which will free the Lands Between from the curse of Immortality that was cast upon it. This ending shot of the cutscene bears a striking resemblance with the Age of Fracture ending. The only difference in this situation will be that your character will take over the throne amid a looming dust cloud.

This is considered a good ending by all players because it resumes the natural order of the world. Everything in the Lands Between will be allowed to properly die as the curse of resurrection has been removed forever.
This is arguably the hardest ending to unlock in the game. This ending requires to you complete the Fia questline. This is the longest and most tedious questline in the game. It requires you to do complete a series of quests like Defeating Radahn and Locating the Fingerslayer Blade just to name a few.
After completing this questline, you will receive the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince which is crucial for this ending.

The Blessing of Despair Ending
This is the first bad ending of the game. It starts off the same way as the Age of Absolute ending. However, this time you will use the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse to mend the broken Elden Ring.

Like other endings, the Blessing of Despair will see your character become Elden Lord, but the sacrifices made will be severe. In this ending, you decide to align yourself with the Dung Eater and by doing so put a curse on everyone in the Lands Between.

Many players call this a bad ending because it symbolizes the fact that there is no hope for humanity. You are forever trapped on this cursed land and that has made to dive deeper into this pool of despair.
To unlock this ending, you would have to complete the Dung Eater questline. Once you have completed this questline and handed over all five Seedbed Curses to Dung Eater, you will receive the Fell Curse Mending Rune.

The Age of Order Ending
This Ending sees you using the Mending Rune of Perfect Order to mend the broken Elden Ring.

This is the most ambiguous ending in the game. It shows are character somehow restoring all balance in the Lands Between. But it never explains how he has managed to do it. The final scene sees our character becoming the Elden Lord and everything seems to come full circle. This is why people consider it a better version of the Age of Fracture Ending.

You will have to finish the Brother Corhyn and Goldmask questline to unlock this ending. Additionally, you will also have to fight and defeat Malekith.

You can consult our guide on how to Defeat Malekith if you are finding the boss difficult to beat.
After completing all these tasks, you will receive the Mending Rune of Perfect Order which is essential for this ending.

The Lord of Frenzied Flame Ending
This is undoubtedly the craziest ending of Elden Ring. This ending sees our hero embrace the Frenzied Flame of the Three Fingers. By doing so, he decides to become the Lord of Frenzied Flame rather than the Elden Lord. To trigger this ending, you need to choose the Lord of Frenzied Flame option when you approach the broken Elden Ring.

This will trigger the final cutscene that will see your character be reborn as the Lord of Frenzied Flame.

In doing so, he will also destroy the Eldtree and by doing so destroy everything in the Lands Between.

This is considered to be the worst ending in the game by many fans. As this ending implies that everything needs to be destroyed and nothing can be saved. It also portrays our character in a negative light and makes him look selfish for preferring power over actually saving people.
You will have to complete both Hyetta and Irina and Edgar’s questlines. After completing them you will have to locate and fight Mohg the omen to locate the Frenzied Door.

After you have located the Frenzied Door, you will have to interact with it to trigger a cutscene.

It is important to remember that once you interact with this door you will be locked to this ending. You cannot choose any other ending if you decide to go with the Frenzied Fire scenario. That is why you should save the game before making this choice so you can come back here later to explore the other endings.
This concludes our exploration of the Age of Absolute. If you found this topic interesting, you can also explore our guide on how you can find the Elden Ring Rileigh Location.
