This error is not the end of everything, as it can happen due to multiple reasons ranging from an ongoing server maintenance activity to your internet connection being down. Let’s explore some fixes and actions you can take if you encounter this error.
Verify Division 2 System Requirements
Hear me out. One of my pals fell short in the ram department, and he consistently got the Mike-01 error. The game started, and his screen froze right after the login screen. Later, he was instantly shown this error message. So, I advise that you first check if your PC is capable of running the game by comparing its specs to the Division 2 system requirements mentioned below:

After you’ve compared your PC specs with the Divison 2 system requirements mentioned above, check what category your PC fall in. If your PC isn’t complying with even one of the hardware categories in minimum system requirements, you’re bound to get Division 2 Mike 01 error. The best course of action is to upgrade that hardware category and then try to play Division 2 again.
Check If There’s An Ongoing Server Maintenance Activity
As with all live-service games, Division 2 servers are also undergoing scheduled maintenance. These help the game servers perform best and without any hitches during gameplay. If you’re encountering Division 2 Mike 01 error, it’s best that you verify if the servers are undergoing maintenance or not.

To check the game servers, you can either visit the Ubisoft official Division 2 server status checker, stay in touch with their Twitter feed, or simply visit their official discord and check the news section. They constantly update Division 2 players pre-emptively to make sure that you’re out of the game safely and non of your gear acquisition or progress is lost. These maintenance activities last from a couple of minutes to a few hours, depending on the nature of the activity. If it’s a major patch dropping, this activity can last up to several hours, followed by a beefy patch.
If the servers are live and you’re still facing the Mike 01 error, then it’s probably other issues at play here. Don’t worry. Let’s address them moving forward.
Test Your Internet Connection
If the server status is all green, but you can’t log into your character due to the Mike 01 error, it’s probably your internet connection that’s at fault here. There are several reasons why your internet connection is not working as it should, including issues with the router, back-end internet outage, or WiFi adapter problems. Here’s how to address your internet issues.
First, you have to test your network connection through services like Speedtest and Fast. After you’ve benchmarked your current internet speed, compare it to the speed you usually get on your system. If it’s significantly lower than the plan you’ve paid for, you can try doing the following:
Update Your Network Drivers
Outdated network drivers can also cause Mike 01 errors in Division 2. There are frequent driver updates that you need to check in order to get the best networking performance on your system. So, it’s best that you check your network card manufacturer and then update its driver by looking it up online.
Restart Your Internet Modem
Sometimes, your Internet device can become hot or build up a cache, which can lead to Internet speed degradation. To resolve this issue, I suggest you restart your internet modem. Simply unplug it for 5-10 minutes and then turn it back on. This will clear its cache and reduce the temperature to get it back to working at peak performance.
Reduce The Number Of Devices Connected
All your family members will be connected if you have a common WiFi router in your home. As the number of people on the same network increase, the internet speed will get divided between the number of devices connected. This is why you’re getting slow internet speed which can be resolved by simply reducing the number of devices on your WiFi network. Now, I’m not suggesting you put your toddlers to sleep by taking their coco melon away from them on their iPads, but you can disconnect any unnecessary devices that aren’t currently in use.
Switch From WiFi To Wired Connection
If you aren’t already doing this now, I suggest you do this at once. A wired connection from the Internet modern to your PC is the best way to get the most stable and direct Internet access. I recommend using a CAT6A or above quality wire to ensure the best internet access on your system.
Contact Your Internet Service Provider
If nothing else works for you, there’s probably an internet outage on the backend. You should contact your ISP and check in to verify if it’s a problem on the backend. If not, you can always register a complaint and get them working on restoring your internet connection.
Clear Ubisoft Connect Cache
Similar to other launchers, Ubisoft Connect (formerly known as Uplay) can also get sluggish over time which can cause problems for the games you launch through it. A problematic launcher with a problematic cache can also cause the Mike 01 error in Division 2. Hence, it’s important that you clear all this built-up cache to get the best experience playing Division 2.
Here’s how to clear the cache in Ubisoft Connect:
- First, you must open Ubisoft Connect from the taskbar or search for it in Windows Search.
- After opening Ubisoft Connect, you’ll need to click on the hamburger Menu icon in the top-left corner of the application.
Click Hamburger Icon To Expand (Image Captured by eXputer) - After the hamburger menu opens up, click on the Settings tab.

After you click Yes, it’ll take a few moments, and your Ubisoft Connect cache will be wiped clean. I suggest you restart Ubisoft Connect once before launching Division 2. This is also helpful if you aren’t getting an update for Division 2, even if your PC is connected to the internet. This will resolve any internal conflict disrupting your game from receiving the update.
Update Ubisoft Client & Division 2
This fix is an extension of the previous step that helped you clear the cache for Ubisoft Connect. It’s also possible that an update dropped while you were in-game, and currently, you’re playing an outdated version of Division 2. Division 2 Mike 01 error is also caused by you not having an updated Ubisoft Connect game launcher.
So, after you’ve successfully cleared your Ubisoft Connect cache, you’ll be receiving a game client update if your launcher was previously un-updated. This will get your launcher up to date. After you log into your game library, you’ll also see a notification saying that the game client is downloading an update for Division 2 if your game version was outdated as well. This will most definitely fix the Division 2 Mike-01 error and let you get back into the game as soon as everything is up-to-date.
Did You Finally Fix The Error?
We’ve listed every possible and effective fix to help you fix the Division 2 connectivity issues.
