Palworld OnCreateSessionComplete Delegate Error [FIXED]

Fix OnCreateSessionComplete Delegate Error in Palworld by Keeping at Retrying, Turning Multiplayer Off, and more!

I’ve been glued to Palworld ever since I picked it up. It probably has to do with the endless grind that tickles my brain. But, being in Early Access, the game is riddled with issues. In particular, players have been constantly facing the OnCreateSessionComplete Delegate Error in Palworld.

The problem generally stems from server congestion, preventing you from joining any worlds. But worry not: I have a few methods to get you back on track.

The error message reads: “OnCreateSessionCompleteDelegate bWasSuccessful == false”

Before diving into the guide, I suggest going through the following basic tests to rule out your end:

Key Takeaways

Use these methods to fix the OnCreateSessionComplete Delegate Error:

  1. Keep attempting to Join the World.
  2. Toggle Multiplayer Off and On.
  3. Turn Multiplayer Off Permanently.

Keep Retrying

Firstly, I suggest you keep attempting to join your world. This may seem primitive, but the problem generally happens when the servers are not accommodating enough. So, if you merely repeatedly retry, you should be able to get in, like many other players.

This might take up to 10 tries on a bad day. So, keep that in mind when attempting this. Further, I recommend giving enough time between retries to not add to the congestion yourself.

Toggle Multiplayer

I suggest toggling multiplayer itself if the rudimentary way doesn’t work. The OnCreateSessionComplete Delegate Error means Palworld couldn’t register a session with other players. So, in this way, you remove the other players from the equation for a while.

So, I recommend giving it a shot and entering the world as a solo player. Once in there, you can turn multiplayer back on and retry the original process.

Here’s the process to do so:

  1. Go to the World Select screen > Select your World > Click on Change World Settings.
  2. Switch Multiplayer to Off > Click OK.

  3. Exit Palworld > Relaunch the Game.
  4. Switch Multiplayer back On > Click OK.

Once done, try to enter your world again to see if the problem persists.

Switch Multiplayer Off

If toggling it doesn’t cut it for the Delegate Error, I recommend permanently switching to solo play. I know the game isn’t nearly as fun when playing by your lonesome. But it might be the only way for the time being. You can think of this as a temporary measure to at least play in some form.

Eventually, the congestion would subside, letting you back in with your friends.

Here’s the process again:

My Thoughts

From playing Palworld for a while, I can say that issues like the Delegate Error are commonplace. But it would be unfair to put the entire blame bottle on Pocket Pair’s head. They couldn’t have anticipated this level of response as there was barely any buzz beforehand.

Talking about the problem itself, I know the name is a mouthful. But anyone who has dabbled in Unreal Engine would know it’s a pre-defined function. It’s returned when you attempt to register a session with the servers. Further, as it’s returning false, I am sure the issue is that the game can’t create or register a session.

So, it more or less happens because of server congestion. Luckily, however, the problem isn’t widespread. I can say this as I only came across a few Reddit and Steam threads detailing the issue. Further, it eventually subsides for the affected populous as well.

So, I am confident you’ll be able to bypass the problem with my outlined solutions. But if you don’t, I recommend checking the Official Palworld Twitter for congestion alerts like the one above. If you find any acknowledgments, waiting a bit would ultimately prove fruitful.

If all cannons fail, my final suggestion will be to contact Pocket Pair through their Palworld Contact Form.
