Langrisser Complete Tier List
The following list is based on our personal preferences. You might find some characters not belonging to a certain tier. In our list, we will write down a short description of each character in which we will talk about the Innate/Primary Skill and other abilities of the said character.
S-Tier characters are the best characters in Langrisser. There is no character better than them, and they are ideal for every situation.
Tiaris is one of the most powerful characters to use in the entire game. She has different abilities in her arsenal through which she can perform attacks on multiple enemies. In addition to this, her skill called Heal allows her to restore the HP of a single unit.
The second character in our S-Tier category is Liana. She is an amazing fighter who can use a skill called Wind Blade to deal 1.5x damage to a single enemy. Just like Tiaris, Liana can also use the Heal skill.
A-Tier characters might not be listed in the S-Tier class, but they are still some of the strongest characters to use in Langrisser.
Lana is a Maiden of Light who can hold her ground firmly in combat. She has an ability called Blizzard that targets multiple enemies at once and reduces their mobility as well. In addition to this, her Innate Skill, Dark Reaper, targets a single enemy and deals 1.3x damage.
Leon is yet another amazing character on our Langrisser tier list. He offers a passive called Legion that increases the ATK and DEF of his unit by 10% if their HP is above 90%. As for his Innate Skill, it’s called Assault, and it targets a single enemy.
Cherie is the Princess of Kalxath, but that hasn’t stopped her from making her enemies go through hell. One of her attacks, called Wind Whisper, deals 0.3x AoE damage to all nearby units. Not only this, but it debuffs each target as well. Her Innate Skill is called Lightning which targets a single enemy and deals 1.5x damage.
Ledin is the Prince of Baldea, who happens to be a Descendant of Light as well. His Primary Skill is called Sun Slash, and it can help you take down an opponent in an instant. He also offers multiple passives, with one of them giving him a 40% chance to restore the HP of all his friendly units.
Listell’s Innate Skill is called Demon’s God Bulwark. It acts as a passive as it takes the magic damage for adjacent allies. She can also perform well in combat as one of her attacks called Siphon lets her target a single enemy and deals 1.5x damage.
The final character in our A-Tier category is Vargas. He is one of the four generals who have devoted their life towards Emperor Bernhardt. His Primary Skill is called Protect, and it reduces the amount of physical damage he takes by 5%. His other skills allow him to perform single target attacks.
B-Tier characters are not that strong compared to A-Tier characters, but they can still help you get the job done.
First up in the B-Tier category of our Langrisser tier list is Landius. He offers around six passives, with one of them increasing the amount of damage he deals by 10%. In addition to this, his Innate Skill called Rout allows him to deal 1x damage to a single enemy. The attack also ends up pushing the target back 2 blocks.
Bozel is a powerful evil warrior. His Primary Skill is called Sleep, and it deals 0.25x damage to a single target and dispels 3 buffs as well. In addition to this, the targeted enemy is unable to move during the next turn. He also offers multiple attacks that target groups as well.
Luna offers a passive called Move Again that increases the damage she deals by 10%. She only has one physical damage attack that deals 1.4x damage and does additional damage to Fliers. He Primary Skill is Raging Thunder that can eliminate a single enemy in an instant.
Lambda is yet another powerful warrior who has Wind Blade as her Innate Skill. This skill allows her to target a single enemy and deal a lot of damage. One of her other attacks called Ice Missile targets multiple enemies in a single line and is extra effective against Lancers.
Bernhardt is the Emperor of the Rayguard Empire. His Innate Skill called Sword Dance deals 0.36x AoE damage to all the enemies within the range. In addition to this, the enemies that get caught inside his attack cannot use any heal items. Bernhardt also offers a passive called Hegemony that decreased the DEF of his enemy by 20%.
Rachel’s magic abilities allow her to take down even the toughest of opponents. She has an attack called Holy Word that targets a single enemy and does extra damage to Demons. Her Primary Skill is Lightning Strike that does 1.5x damage to a single target.
Jugler might seem like a cute little creature, but he shouldn’t be taken lightly. His Innate Skill is a passive called Sacred Beast Aegis which allows him to take all the damage of his adjacent friendly units. Other than that, his attacked called Master of Ice works against multiple enemies and it does 0.25x AoE damage.
Gerold & Layla
Gerold & Layla work together in combat and are a powerful duo. They offer a passive called Move Again that increases their attack damage by 10%. As for their Primary Ability, it’s called Onrush and it does 1.5x damage to a single enemy. It also increases the DEF and MDEF of their unit by 30% before a battle.
Offering multiple passives, Lanford is capable of protecting his unit from powerful enemies. One of his passives called Mind’s Eye increases his Crit by 15%, something that makes his attack even more deadly. His Innate Skill is Javelin, a physical damage attack that does a lot of damage to a single enemy.
Dieharte is a Knight of the Kingdom of Larcuss who can increase the Crit of his attacks by 10% thanks to one of his passives. He can also reduce the mobility of his enemy by 2 through one of his attacks while dealing 1.7x damage. His Primary Skill called Onrush is a powerful physical damage attack that increases the DEf and MDEF of his unit as well.
Carrying around a sweet and kind personality, Angelina can swap positions with a friendly unit whenever they are in danger. She is also capable of targeting multiple enemies at once through one of her attacks. As for her Innate Skill, it’s called Lightning and it deals with a single enemy.
Sigma’s Primary Skill is Neutralizing Fire and it is perfect for dealing with an individual target as it can do 1.25x damage. His Roundabout Passive can also increase the damage he deals by 10%, something that allows him to take down his opponents quickly.
Elwin is yet another Descendant of Light in our Langrisser Tier list whose Sun Slash Innate Skill can take down a target in an instant. He can also increase his own ATK by 12%, but that will happen only if his HP is more than that of his enemy.
Zerida seems like an innocent little girl, but she hides the personality of a demon inside her. Her Innate Skill is called Killing Blow, and it does 1.4x damage to the enemy. In addition to this, if all your allies are dead, then the attack will directly affect the hero of the enemy side.
Chris has a magic ability called Retribution that does 0.3x AoE damage to all enemies present within 2 blocks. In addition to this, it also ends up dispelling 2 buffs. Her Primary Skill is Discipline, an attack that restores her HP by 20% after combat.
The final character we would like to mention in the B-Tier category is Freya, a Princess belonging to the Kingdom of Barral. Her PInnate Skill is a passive called Barb that works only if she is attacked with a melee attack. Other than that, she has no attacks to offer.
C-Tier characters fall below B-Tier characters in terms of skills. They can perform well in combat and are not that difficult to master.

Egbert is a cruel person who has various multiple target attacks in his arsenal. One of them called Desiccate allows him to target a group of enemies and deal 0.3x AoE damage. Furthermore, there’s a 50% chance of the enemy becoming silent for 1 turn. His Innate Skill is Acid Burns, which targets a group of enemies as well.
Next up in the C-Tier category of our Langrisser tier list is Shelfaniel. She looks innocent but can become a nightmare for her opponents. She uses Cleanse as her Primary Skill, which targets a single enemy and does a lot of damage. In addition to this, she can also restore the HP of her unit by 20% by using a Passive.
Almeda is a Descendants of Light. Just like Tiaris, she uses Heal as her Innate Skill. In addition to this, Almeda offers a Passive called Meditation which increases the INT and MDEF of her unit by 10%, but only if their HP is above 90%.
Lester is a soldier by profession, meaning that he knows how to hold his ground firmly in combat. His Innate Skill, Aqua Blast, targets a single enemy and does 2x damage when used in water. He can also completely heal his unit by using a skill called First Aid.
Liffany can deal 1.5 damage to a single enemy by using her Primary Skill called Wind Blade. The best part about this skill is that it does additional damage to Fliers. Liffany can also summon a Magic Bomb by using one of her skills and can target multiple enemies using an attack called Acid Burns.
Feraquea is a powerful person. She serves as one of the Demon Generals of the Dark Prince Bozel. She is capable of attacking her enemy directly while ignoring all the guards using her Primary Skill called Plunder. This skill also ends up taking away 3 buffs from the enemy after the battle.
Altemuller is a military commander who has taken down many tough opponents. He offers an attack called Dragon’s Breath that does damage to all enemies within 2 blocks. Furthermore, he can use his Innate Skill called Raging Thunder to take down an enemy quickly.
Just like some other characters on our Langrisser tier list, Sophia also happens to use Heal as her Innate Skill. In combat, she can use two attacks, with one targeting a single enemy and the other one targeting a whole group. Sophia can also decrease the cooldowns of her allied units by using a skill called Rewind.
Hein has multiple attacks to offer in combat, with one being able to target a group of enemies and dealing 0.36x AoE damage. It also happens to work better against Infantry. His Innate Skill is Fireball, which targets an individual enemy.
Leticia has Assault as her Primiary Skill. This targets a single enemy and it prevents them from getting healed. Other than this, Leticia offers only one attack called Onrush. She also happens to have three passives, with one decreasing the amount of damage she takes by 15%.
Varna is yet another soldier on our list who offers an attack called Snare that does 140% damage to the enemy. It does extra damage to Fliers and reduces the Mobility of the enemy by 1. As for her Innate Skill, it’s called Thousand Arrows.
Matthew offers a passive called Move Again, something that increases the amount of damage he does by 10%. His Primary Skill, Air Slash, does 1.5x damage to a single enemy and is perfect for taking someone down instantly.
The final character we would like to mention in the C-Tier category is Grenier. He is the Captain of the Town Guards and knows how to deal with his enemies. His Innate Skill helps him assisting his unit in combat. Other than that, Grenier offers a Passive called Precaution that increases his DEF by 12%.
D-Tier characters are not that strong and powerful. You should opt for them only when you have no other option left.
Lance offers Wind Whisper as his Innate Skill which targets a group of enemies and deals 0.3x AoE damage. The best part is that it also ends up debuffing everyone caught inside the attack. He also has a passive which decreases the damage he takes by 15% but works only when his HP is higher than 50%.
Rohga is an expert fighter who has traveled the whole world. He can attack the enemy directly while ignoring the guards by using his Innate Skill called Plunder. Rohga can also dispel one buff from his target by using a Passive.
Sonya offers different single target attacks that are capable of taking down enemies quickly, as one of them even pushes the target back 2 blocks. Her Primary Ability is Strike, which increases her ATK by 20%.
Laird has one of the most useful Innate Skills in the entire game. It’s called Blast and it reduces the damage taken by his unit by 30%. This works if the unit’s HP is above 80%. Laird can also perform well in combat as his Thousand Hooves attack can do 1.7x damage to the enemy.
Scott’s Primiary Skill is Ram, and it does 1.2x damage to a single target. It also pushes the target back 2 blocks and decreases their mobility by 2. He also offers four passives, with one of them increasing the damage he does by 10%.
Dios is a mercenary soldier who has various tricks up his sleeves. Both of the attacks he offers to focus on a single enemy and deal a lot of damage. His Innate Skill called Boost increases his unit’s ATK by 7%.
Pierre’s Chain Hook serves as his Innate Skill, and it pulls a target towards him from up to 4 blocks away. This is useful when you are unable to get close to your enemy for different reasons. He also offers a Passive called Deathmatch, which increases his unit’s ATK and SKILL by 12%.
Keith is a commander of the Ariel Knights who offers attacks that are for both individual targets and groups. Furthermore, he offers a passive called Windirde which reduces the amount of damage taken by Keith by 15% if his HP is higher than 50%. His Wind Pressure Innate Skill also works as a passive.
Lewin offers Roar as his Primary Skill and it focuses on a single enemy. It does 1.3x damage and dispels 2 buffs from the enemy as well. He also offers a passive called Protect which reduces the physical damage he takes by 5%.
Anna is not good when it comes to combat as most of her abilities focus on assisting her unit. For instance, she can increase the DEF of multiple units by 20%. As for her Innate Skill, it’s called Heal.
Aaron may be old but that hasn’t stopped him from going into battles. His Innate Skill is an Unbreakable Guardian, and it works as a Passive as well as an Active skill. Aaron also offers multiple single target attacks, with one of them having the capability to stunning the enemy.
Jessica has Wind Blade as her Innate Skill, and it does 1.5 damage to a normal enemy and some extra damage to Fliers. She can also restore the HP of multiple allied units by using a skill called Mass Heal.
The final character we would like to mention in the D-Tier category of our Langrisser list is Imelda. Her Freeze Strike Innate Skill works well against Lancers. Just like Jessica, she also offers the Mass Heal skill that can heal multiple units at once.
F-Tier characters are the worst characters in Langrisser. They should be avoided at all costs. These characters only become a burden on their teammates and are useless in most situations.
The first character in our F-Tier category is Kirikaze. His Innate Ability called Mind’s Eye increases his Crit by 15%. He also offers different physical attacks, with all of them focusing on a single enemy.
Narm’s Innate Skill is Roundabout, and it increases the damage she deals by 10%. She also offers a passive called MEDF Command, and it increases the MDEF of all her allied units by 15%. However, it only works on the units that are within 2 blocks.
Silver Wolf has an attack called Roposte, and it attacks the enemy while ignoring the guards. His Innate Skill is Cold Blood, which increases his unit’s Crit and Crit damage by 15%.
The final character on our list is Emerick. Just like Dieharte, he also uses Onrush as his Innate Skill. Other than that, he offers around six different Passives, with one of them boosting the damage of his attacks by 10%.
