Rockstar’s 2018 Red Dead Redemption 2 took the world by storm and set itself in a league of its own. Players experience nineteenth-century America through the eyes of beloved protagonist Arthur Morgan. Players have a plethora of options as to what they can do while playing the game. This includes playing the gripping main story, shooting down gangs, hunting, and engaging in several other pastimes. One such pastime is Blackjack. However, the Red Dead Redemption 2 Blackjack Locations can be hard to find.
More From RD2: High Stakes Treasure Map Locations
Blackjack is a mini-game in Red Dead Redemption 2 that players can play to earn some money or simply pass the time. There are certain locations scattered throughout the vast map of Red Dead Redemption 2 where players can play.
While the card game itself is not that hard to play, the real challenge is finding a table to play Blackjack on. Some players are often left scratching their heads unable to enjoy a high-stakes game of twenty-one. Fortunately, we have compiled a guide of all the rd2 Blackjack locations!
Red Dead Redemption 2 Blackjack Locations
There are a total of four locations in the entire game where you can play Blackjack. Each location has a buy-in payment that is required before you can start playing. These vary from place to place and sometimes even depending on the time!
The very first location in Red Dead Redemption 2 where you can play Blackjack is the town of Rhodes. To play the game, simply make your way to the Saloon at the southern end of the town. Once there, it is a simple matter of heading inside and making your way up the stairs. You will spot three men eager to play a game with you.
Note: Blackjack is only playable in Blackwater if the players have progressed enough in the main story.
You can play Blackjack in Blackwater by heading over to the Saloon right in the center of the town. You can find the Saloon on Main Street. The location is marked on the map.
Van Horn Trading Post
This Saloon, similar to the one in Blackwater, is located right in the center of the town. Make your way in, start some fights, make some money… Cowboy Style!
The location on the map is shown below.

Buy in: Varies from time to time
Whether you are playing Blackjack in Red Dead Redemption 2 for fun, money, or even for the frustrating Three Gambler Challenges, you need to know how to play Blackjack.
Don’t worry; we have you covered!
Blackjack is a card-comparing game in which the player competes against the dealer, hoping to get the best hand. You do not play Blackjack against other players.
The goal is to have your dealt cards add up to either 21 or as close to it as possible. If the added cards go over 21, it’s game over.
Each game of Blackjack begins with the player being dealt two cards. There are four options available to the player: Hit, Stand, Double Down, and Split.
Hit – If you choose Hit, you get another card.
Stand – Choosing Stand ends your turn without taking a card.
Double Down – This is a move that can be performed if the player has 2 cards in hand. If they do, they can double the value of their bet and get an additional card. Players cannot use this move if they have insufficient chips to double the bet.
Split – If you are dealt with 2 cards of the same value, you can separate your cards into 2 hands and play them independently. They will have an equal value to your first bet so you’ll be playing two hands at the same time.
The player loses if they go over 21 or if the dealer has a higher hand than the player. If a split hand has an ace and a ten-value card, it does not count as a blackjack. You can Double Down on split hands.
An ace can either count as 1 point or 11, whatever will get you closer to 21. The number depends on what will get you closer to 21 without busting, and the game automatically switches between the two values.
The King, Queen, and Joker cards all count as 10 points.
The cards 2-10 have the same value as the number on them, often referred to as the face value.
If the player’s opening hand consists of an Ace and a ten-value card, they get Blackjack and win. The only exception to this rule is if the dealer also happens to get Blackjack. If such a situation arises, the round is a push, and nobody wins. Winning this way gets you a 3:2 payout rather than the usual winnings.
Above, we have compiled all of the Red Dead Redemption 2 Blackjack Locations. Blackjack is an engaging game that players can opt to indulge themselves in. It serves as a nice break from the main game. The enjoyment of Blackjack might be subjective, but we can help by eliminating the hassle of finding a table.
Play with various strategies and figure out how to make Blackjack more fun (or bearable) for yourself. Good luck!
