Bowser

Bowser has great numbers on his dice block. You can quickly move through many blocks with the help of his dice. There is a high chance that you will get a greater number, such as 8, 9, or 10, when you roll your dice; this will help you overtake many characters. There is a slight chance of getting 1, though you can make up for it if you have an ally in your team.

Boo

Boo, can move a lot of spaces with the help of its dice. You would either get a five or a 7 to move many spaces. Boo is consistent in its movement as there are no low numbers in its dice. There is no risk of hitting a low number and wasting your coins for nothing.

Wario

Wario has one of the most consistent dice in the games. Since Wario’s dice always consist of a number 6 other than the coin loss, you can move a lot of spaces in every turn. 6 spaces at a time is a solid roll that can easily help you win many games. You can overtake a lot of characters and snipe a lot of spaces with this number.

A-Tier

The characters we have ranked in our A-ranking Super Mario party tier list are second to none. They are an excellent choice to go with.

Shy-Guy

Shy-Guy is one of the most consistent Super Mario party characters. There are a lot of 4s on his dice. That means you will most likely get a four on your dice roll. The chances of getting a 0 are slim. You can quickly move up four spaces, which is not a bad number, especially if you get it consistently on your dice roll.

Shy-Guy can not lose any coins with his dice roll. This gives you a huge advantage as a player, as you can accumulate even more coins through minigames.

Daisy

Daisy can do great, consistent rolls with the help of her dice. She will get a 3 or 4 in her dice roll, though there is a higher chance of getting a 3. This would allow her to move a decent number of spaces every turn, as there are no chances of getting a 0 or a very low number. This makes her useful in a lot of games.

There is no chance of losing your coins in a dice roll. This would allow Daisy to gather a lot of coins and stars, resulting in winning the game. The consistent dice rolls and no coin loss make Daisy a worthy character.

Peach

Peach can move rather consistently on the board with great dice compared to many other characters. There is a higher chance of getting a 4 with her dice roll, which is a solid number to move up significant spaces. You may get a 0 or 2 in an unlucky roll, which reduces Peach’s consistency, Though you may be able to move up six spaces if you get lucky.

Goomba

Goomba can do a lot of consistent dice rolls. Most of the numbers in his dice can help you move a decent number of spaces. You may even get lucky and move six spaces at a time. If not a high number, you could move at least 3 or 4 spaces, which is not bad.

If you want to play it safe, Goomba is the right choice for you, Goomba can also get a good number of coins in a lucky roll which would help win a game.

Pom-Pom

Pom-Pom is another character that you can expect to move consistently across the board with the help of his dice. There are a lot of 3s in her dice, which would help you move a good number of spaces every turn.

There is a slight chance of getting an 8, allowing you to snipe through many spaces. However, there is a slim chance of hitting a zero, which reduces the consistency, especially if you are not lucky in your rolls. Though you won’t lose coins in an unlucky dice roll, this would allow you to collect many coins by the game ends.

B-Tier

The B-ranking characters in our Super Mario party tier list have a few flaws attached. They are neither the best in the game nor the worst; they stand in the middle.

Rosalina

Rosalina has a diversity of numbers on her dice. To move a lot of space, you would require a bit of luck. Otherwise, there is a chance that she will move up 2 or 3 spaces. There is a slim chance of getting an eight, which would help you snipe through many spaces on the board.

Rosalina can also gain a decent number of coins in a lucky roll. These coins can help you win a game even if you don’t do well in minigames.

Mario

While not as consistent as many other characters, Mario can still move a decent number of spaces every turn. It’s most likely that you will move three spaces every turn, which is a decent number. You may get lucky and move 5 or 6 spaces, which are solid enough to help you win a few games.

There is a slim chance of getting a 1, but you won’t be stuck in the same space on the board even then. There is no coin loss on his dice, which would be helpful for you in saving a lot of coins to win games.

Dry-bones

Dry-Bones’ dice have an equal number of highs and lows. It may prove to be a very great dice if your luck allows you to get a 6 in your dice rolls. Though there is an equal chance of getting a low number, you can’t move much in the board if you keep getting this number.

Dry bones can accumulate a lot of coins as he does not lose coins with his dice. If you get a lot of coins in the minigames, it may prove helpful to you in winning games. He is not a worthy choice in our Super Mario party tier list because of his inconsistent dice rolls.

Donkey Kong

Donkey Kong can help you move through many spaces; he has two 10s in his dice to carry you through vast distances on the board. However, Donkey Kong can be very inconsistent. There is a high chance that he will get a 0 when you roll; this might become a factor for less movement, making winning the game much harder for you.

Choosing Donkey Kong can be risky due to the many zeros in his dice. Though, if you get lucky, you can move a lot of spaces, winning the game easily. Donkey Kong has a high coin gain rate as you gain five coins in a lucky dice toll.

Hammer-Bro

Hammer-Bro has an inconsistent dice with a chance of either moving five spaces or 1. If you get a 5 in your dice roll, you can move up a decent number of spaces on the board. However, it’s not worth it, especially if you keep getting 1 in your dice roll.

Hammer-Bro might help you gain coins as he might give you about three coins in a lucky dice roll. This significant gain can prove to help win matches.

C-Tier

The characters in our C-rank of Super Mario party tier list have flaws, and they are not that reliable in the game.

Luigi

Luigi has a variety of numbers in his dice. His dice consist of both high and low numbers. There is a high chance you will get one and move fewer spaces. If you get lucky, you can get solid numbers to help you move significant spaces.

You may get a 6 or 7 that can help you snipe through the game board. Luigi, like many characters, does not have coin loss in his dice. This could prove useful in winning a game, especially if you do not do well in minigames.

Bowser-Jr

Bowser Junior is not as great as many other characters due to his low consistency. There is a high chance that he will get a 1. There is a slight chance of getting a 9, but it’s not worth it, considering the inconsistency of his dice rolls. You may move four spaces if lucky, which is a decent number.

Bowser-Jr will help you maintain a lot of coins in your hand because of no coin loss in his dice If you do well in minigames. However, he is not worth choosing because of his inconsistent dice.

Diddy Kong

Diddy Kong doesn’t have consistent dice rolls. It’s imbalanced, with you either getting a seven or a 0. You might need a lot of luck to use Diddy Kong’s dice rolls to your advantage. There is still a higher chance of getting a 7. If you get a 7, you can move a lot of spaces at a time, moving far in the board.

You may get two coins if you get lucky in your dice roll. The coin gain ability is useful as you can buy stars with the help of these coins. A higher number of coins and stars will help you win a game.

D-Tier

The D-tier characters of our Super Mario tier list have a difficult learning curve.

D-TIER

Koopa-Troopa

Koopa-Troopa isn’t as great as many characters in the above Tiers. He has a lot of low numbers in his dice; these numbers will not help you move significantly across the board. However, you may get a ten on your dice roll and snipe through many spaces on the board if you get lucky.

Koopa-Troopa does not lose coins on his dice rolls, so you may be able to win the game if you get enough coins. However, Choosing Koopa-Troopa is not recommended because of his inconsistent dice.

Monty-Mole

Monty-Mole isn’t consistent with his dice rolls. There is a chance you will move fewer spaces every turn if you are not lucky. You may move a good number of spaces if you get lucky. You can snipe through a lot of spaces if you get a 6.

Monty’s coin gain isn’t great, either. You may get a single coin in a dice roll, which isn’t a great number. You would have to do well in minigames a lot to make Monty-Mole worth it. Overall, he has a low average movement.

Yoshi

Yoshi’s dice rolls aren’t as great as many other Super Mario party characters. Most of his dice consist of lower numbers; there is a significant chance of getting a 0 or 1 in your roll; you may end up stuck if you get unlucky dice rolls. Yoshi can move seven spaces if you are lucky, though it’s not worth it considering his inconsistent dice.

There is no coin gain or loss in his dice roll either; you must do well in minigames to get more coins. Winning a game with Yoshi as your character might prove to be hard.

Waluigi

Waluigi has a high coin loss rate and poor, inconsistent dice rolls. There is a chance you will end up with a low number if your rolls are unlucky. However, you can move a decent number of spaces, such as 5 or 7. If you get a seven, you may snipe through many spaces on the game board.

There is also a great risk of losing a lot of coins in an unlucky dice roll. You may have to do well in the minigames to compensate for those lost coins. This will make winning more difficult if you get good dice rolls. If lucky, he may prove to be a good character.

Tier List Criteria

There is a wide selection of characters with different dice blocks available for you to choose from. We divided the characters based on the consistency of their dice rolls. The various numbers on their dice rolls were also taken into consideration. Characters with the ability to move a lot of spaces every turn are ranked higher than those who are inconsistent and move fewer spaces. A character’s coin loss and gain ability were also noticed, as the more coins you have, the easier it is to win a game.

Rankings Based On Experience And Research

With our experience, we ranked various characters into tiers depending on their qualities. Moreover, thorough research was carried out to know the character’s dice block numbers and perks to rank them into different tiers. Opinions of various gamers on the internet were also considered to create this tier list.

Why Trust Us

Before drafting this tier list, a significant part was given to the research and players’ preferences on the web. Of course, we also factored in our playtime with the game’s characters. Then, we divided each character into suitable tiers and tried to reduce the bias while writing the tier list. However, we understand that tier lists are subjective, and you may have your preference in choosing a character.
