Character Customization In Baldur’s Gate 3 Will Also Include A “Genitals” Option

Larian Studios is seemingly taking a balls-to-the-walls approach with its fanatically anticipated RPG Baldur’s Gate 3, which is scheduled to hit shelves on August 3 for PC. According to a recent live stream held by the developers called Panel From Hell, an option to customize the genital part of your character has been spotted during one of the sequences of the showcases. Skip to the 4:10:44 mark in the following video and you’ll see what’s up. 

Evidently, the developers didn’t highlight this particular feature during the live stream, and, of course, for obvious reasons. This is something that’s left to the player’s discretion, for them to experiment with on their own. The “Genitals” option will seemingly be a part to tweak for every class’ appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3. Speaking of which, the devs have said that the “class system [in the game] is like stupidly deep now.”

There are going to be 12 main classes, alongside 46 sub-classes for players to choose from, and all of these will strive to offer a distinctive experience from top to bottom. As far as the aesthetics go, however, there is a myriad of metrics to dive into as well, and as you can comprehend from the photo below, the “Genitals” option is also going to be something that you can look forward to customizing. 

Some other apparent parameters to change regarding your character’s appearance include “Maturity,” “Freckle Quantity,” “Freckle Intensity,” and “Vitiligo Pigmentation.” All of these go on to show how in-depth Baldur’s Gate 3 character customizer has turned out, thanks to the efforts of Larian Studios. Judging from the Panel From Hell showcase, this is, perhaps, one of the most advanced character modification systems present in any AAA title. 

It’s worth noting, though, that it’s not clear whether you’ll actually be seeing the naughty bits of your character in-game. For reference purposes, it’s only possible to visualize your junk in Cyberpunk 2077 when you customize your character from the pause menu and take their bottoms off. There’s no way to see the character’s nether regions in-game. With that said, CDPR’s RPG is played from a first-person perspective, so not a lot of options for one to do the latter either. 

In other news, Baldur’s Gate 3 will have you making love to a bear as well, and you only wish we were joking. The recently aired live stream presents the different romance options that will be available in the fantasy RPG followings its full release, and clearly, there are some interesting options to approach on that front. The live stream showed a Druid “wildshaping” into a massive bear to show his partner some buffed-up love. 

Baldur’s Gate 3 is all set to release on the 3rd of August for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Nvidia GeForce Now. A PlayStation 5 version is in the works as well and it’ll drop later in September. Larian Studios is yet to declare a concrete release date for the Xbox Series X|S variant, but we do know that this next installment in the popular Baldur’s Gate franchise will make its way to Xbox platforms sooner or later.
