Larian Studios Is Planning A “Very Big RPG” That Will “Dwarf” Baldur’s Gate 3

Larian Studios has plans for a “very big RPG that will dwarf them all.” Yes, it also includes the massive Baldur’s Gate 3. In an interview with GameSpot, the company CEO, Swen Vincke, claims that before its magnum opus, it was also considering this specific entry. However, many limitations in tech compelled devs to postpone it. Even the current-gen consoles are not close to the needed hardware.

I think there is some tech that we don’t have yet. And I don’t know what the specs are on the next gen [of gaming systems] yet, but I hope that it’s going to bring us closer,” says the CEO.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev To Possibly Work On Multiple Projects

Larian Studios’ latest release took the gaming world by storm, and the ripples are still felt to this day. However, the team is not just sitting idly by and basking in all the glory. The studio is already working on its “next big game.” While it is not the aforementioned RPG, the fans hold high expectations. The devs will likely work on both projects together over the coming years.
