Story Highlights
- Capcom confirmed Title Update 3.2 improves PC performance by as much as 60%, and lowered the game’s official system requirements to match.
- The update removes Denuvo anti-tamper protection from Dragon’s Dogma 2, more than two years after launch.
- New PC graphics settings and updated console performance targets arrived alongside nearly 200 other changes and fixes.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 launched in March 2024 to a rough reception on PC, where stuttering and CPU-bound frame drops were a common complaint. Capcom has been chipping away at that ever since, and Title Update 3.2, released ahead of the Dark Arisen expansion, is the biggest optimization pass the game has gotten yet.
The Performance Numbers Capcom Is Citing

Capcom announced the update directly on the official Dragon’s Dogma X account:
With today’s release of #DragonsDogma2 Title Update 3.2, we’ve updated PC minimum and recommended specs, as well as the performance details for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. We’ll follow up with details on Nintendo Switch 2 in the near future.
Players comparing footage against the previous patch have reported framerate gains ranging from 40% up to 60% at identical settings, and the improvement was significant enough that Capcom revised the official system requirements to reflect it.

Consoles got their own numbers alongside the PC changes. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, Performance mode now targets 2160p with FSR at 60 FPS, while Graphics mode holds that same resolution at roughly 30 FPS. PS5 Pro benefits from added PSSR support, pushing Performance mode to around 60 FPS and Graphics mode to about 45 FPS, both at 2160p. Xbox Series S sits a tier below, rendering at 1440p and upscaling to a listed 2160p output, with Performance mode at 45 FPS and Graphics mode around 30 FPS.
Denuvo Is Finally Gone
The other headline change is on the anti-piracy side. Update 3.2 strips Denuvo out of Dragon’s Dogma 2 entirely, something Capcom has now done across a growing list of its catalog, including Monster Hunter Rise, Resident Evil Village, and both Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake. Capcom hasn’t left the game undefended, though. A different DRM solution has reportedly been put in its place.
Alongside the performance and DRM changes, Update 3.2 adds new PC graphics settings, including controls for foliage density, terrain quality, and ray-tracing GI quality, and expands save slots per Arisen from one to three. It’s also groundwork for Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the game’s story expansion, which is set to launch on October 9.
