Hasbro Wants To “Continue To Work” With Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev While Investing In Gaming

Wizards of the Coast’s parent company Hasbro has recently expressed interest in working with Baldur’s Gate 3 developer. As clarified by Hasbro gaming president Cynthia Williams in an interview with Game File, it wants to continue to work with Larian Studios as it invests in the gaming domain to expand its influence. It already has “about 40 games” in development behind the curtains.

We are aggressively investing in [gaming], seeking the best partners in the world to work with on interesting experiences on every platform, in every genre. […] I was hanging out with [Larian Studios] last night. I hope that we will be able to continue to work with them,” says Cynthia Williams.

It is unclear whether the collaborative project would be related to D&D, but we may learn more in the future.

The RPG features hundreds of paths that can steer the gameplay in unexpected directions. No wonder it sold over a staggering 10 million copies worldwide since its launch. Baldur’s Gate 3 was released on August 3, 2023. It dropped on PC, followed by PlayStation 5, macOS, and Xbox Series X|S. eXputer’s Huzaifah Durrani has reviewed the RPG with a fantastic 5/5 score and praised it for featuring meticulous worldbuilding and a well-written cast of characters. In the latest developments, the game’s Xbox retail version has been confirmed to come in 4 discs by the devs.
