On the other hand, Wizards are not born with magic. Rather, they have mastered magic by studying spellbooks and such. The Wizards learn the arcane from eight different schools of magic. I recommend reading the Wizard Subclasses guide in case you wish to learn more.

Aside from the lore, in terms of gameplay mechanics, the Sorcerer’s saving throw proficiencies are Constitution and Charisma, while the Wizard’s saving throw proficiencies are Intelligence and Wisdom.

From my experience with this class, the Sorcerer had better damage scaling than the Wizard, and the Sorcerer wields meta-magic, enhancing the Sorcerer’s combat abilities. Being able to cast a spell twice is one of the advantages.

Metamagic: Silent is one of the meta-magics that can be accessed by the Sorcerer, which allows them to use Verbal spells without the verbal requirement. This is one of the spell differences between the two classes.
Based on that I believe Sorcerer excels in combat when compared to the Wizard.

Advantages Of Wizard

Another spell difference is that the Wizards, on the other hand, have a spellbook, which allows them to learn more spells. This gives them more spells to choose from when compared to the Sorcerer.
In my opinion, one other thing that sets wizards apart is that they have to prepare spells before they can use them in combat.

Therefore, I summarize that the Wizard class is reserved for more veteran fans of the genre, while the Sorcerer can be considered ideal for new players.
