Bethesda Game Studios is one of the many recent acquisitions of Microsoft that are surely looking to step up their game this gen. The deal closed in at a colossal $7.5 billion and added yet another first-party game studio to Microsoft’s arsenal. This has brought up a highly promising future for Xbox, and it’s only a matter of time before we have crisp Bethesda exclusives at our disposal.
It seems now that Bethesda is currently working on an unannounced AAA game, according to a job posting on their official careers page. Apparently, an opening for a Server Engineer is currently available.
The posting writes, “Bethesda Game Studios is seeking a qualified Server Engineer to help create and improve systems for an unannounced title. Come join our experienced team of developers who have a legacy of creating AAA games. This is a terrific opportunity to work with some of the best people in the games industry.”
This unannounced title clearly does not relate to Starfield nor The Elder Scrolls VI since both of these have been teased at some points in the past. This is an indication of entirely something else, although it could be a sequel to Fallout 76 – Bethesda’s latest iteration in the Fallout series that relies heavily on multiplayer.
Fallout 76 has actually come out as a prequel to the rest of the titles in the Fallout franchise and doesn’t continue the story. It may be that Bethesda has thought up of bringing back the main storyline of Fallout with this unannounced title they have in the works.
