A 21-year-old Iron Man game has now surfaced online. It was in development by Genepool Software under Activision but was sacked for unknown reasons along with the studio. The working title for the game was “The Invincible Ironman,” and it was being developed using a brand new engine for “PC, Xbox, and PS2.” The Iron Man title spent nearly half a year in development before Activision decided to pull the plug. While Kevin is not sure about the exact reason, he thinks the game may have been canned because the movie it was being developed for was delayed.

The Canceled Iron Man Game Looked Great For Its Time

Although we’ve only seen limited footage, for the era, the visuals and combat look quite good. Many gamers pointed out that they would’ve bought it at first glance, while others are bummed out that such a promising project was canceled. Kevin also released new footage that shows Iron Man fighting his way through enemies in a canyon. The hero could hover, fly, and use various other techniques that we’ve seen him utilize in the movies.
