Remedy Confirms Development Is Complete
Remedy Entertainment announced on X that Control Resonant has gone gold, meaning development is finished ahead of its digital launch on September 24.
CONTROL Resonant has gone gold! Get ready to unleash Dylan Faden’s paranatural abilities in warped Manhattan on September 24th,” the studio wrote
Physical copies won’t arrive alongside the digital release, though. “The physical release date for the game has moved to October 15th. We need just a little more time to deliver the physical version to you, but rest assured, nothing stays contained forever.”
Control Resonant launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with the game’s digital release date staying unaffected by the three-week delay to physical copies.
Building On Strong Pre-Launch Momentum

The gold announcement caps off a genuinely strong run-up to release for Remedy. Just days earlier, the studio confirmed that Control Resonant had already crossed 1.5 million wishlists, with the game ranking among the top three pre-ordered titles on PlayStation in the US, Germany, and Brazil since pre-orders opened.
That same report noted Remedy had ramped up marketing spend on Control Resonant considerably during the second quarter, a deliberate factor the studio said would weigh on quarterly profitability in exchange for building exactly this kind of pre-launch interest.
Combined with the wishlist numbers and PlayStation pre-order rankings Remedy has already reported, Control Resonant looks like it’s heading into September with more momentum behind it than most of Remedy’s prior releases.
