Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.01 Goes Live; Brings Fixes And Improves Dogtown

The update fixes majority of the common issues reported by players.

CDPR has rolled out a new update for Cyberpunk 2077, fixing the most commonly reported issues, improving performance in Dogtown, and more. The patch notes for v2.01 provide detailed information on the various resolutions implemented in the game following the release of 2.0 and Phantom Liberty.

Several bugs in Phantom Liberty missions have been resolved. In Balls to the Wall, when talking to Paco, repeating the blue dialogue option from the Corpo lifepath will no longer block progress. Similarly, during the Dog Eat Dog mission, an issue where it was possible to earn multiple Relic points by triggering the first meeting with Songbird multiple times has been addressed. 

Moreover, many problems for Phantom Liberty-specific quests have been resolved in v2.01 of Cyberpunk 2077. The missions in this list are New Person, Same Old Mistakes; Moving Heat, Somewhat Damaged; The Killing Moon, and You Know My Name. Fixes have addressed discrepancies such as traffic disappearance upon completion of Moving Heat, the gate to Bill’s hot dog stand being closed in New Person, Same Old Mistakes, etc.

Other quests have also received some fixes to improve the overall experience of Cyberpunk 2077. As of patch 2.01, V will no longer fall through the floor and die when riding the elevator to the 42nd floor with low FPS. In addition, the bug responsible for causing Jackie to disappear outside of the Afterlife has been ironed out.

Aside from the resolutions above, various PC and console issues have also been rectified. Issues where the UI could show controller inputs when using KBM, achievement discrepancies, and underwhelming quality of DLSS Ray Reconstruction in the Ultra Performance setting have been resolved on PC. For consoles, corrupted saves on PlayStation will no longer be an issue.

Beyond all these fixes, patch 2.01 also adjusts radio volume, adds sounds for the Basilisk that were missing, fixes an issue where the player could earn an infinite score in Trauma Drama by shooting at enemies dropping from a helicopter repeatedly, and implements several improvements and changes to the Ukrainian localization, including fixes for lines where the translation lost its original meaning.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, and last-gen consoles. Phantom Liberty is out for current-gen consoles and PC. Read on to find out why we feel that CDPR has finally delivered with this game.
