Doom 2 Gets A Batman Makeover With This Fanatic Mod

The Dark Knight and Doom 2's collaboration is some brilliant work.

A group of gaming fanatics, Team RayCast released the first gameplay trailer for Batman – Rogue City, a mod for the legendary shooter Doom 2: Hell on Earth featuring the Dark Knight and numerous well-known villains.  Doom 2 is being completely converted by modders, ultimately making it a Batman game.

We are all aware of Doom 2’s lasting legacy. Despite being nearly 30 years old, its popularity among modders is still going strong. The upcoming mod Batman-Rogue City is the latest example of what this community is capable of, and their creativity is always as astonishing.

Major Takeaways:

  • A team of modders entirely transforms Doom 2 into a Batman game.
  • The trailer shows a number of Gotham sites and villains’ dens.
  • You will have the opportunity to battle a number of well-known Gotham villains.
  • A beta version will shortly be available, according to modders.

The gameplay footage in the trailer gives gamers a taste of what to anticipate, showing The Dark Knight slaying swarms of villains in various Gotham locales. Additionally, it appears that the mod will include many of the most well-known antagonists of the comic book hero, like Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, and of course The Joker.

Batman makes an appearance, punching criminals in a maze of shipping containers, flying through the air with his quick-firing gun, and throwing his notorious Batarang.

As the gameplay trailer progresses, the Batmobile leaps a bridge while firing machine guns and destroying the purple and green cars of the Joker gang. Even Wayne Tower and the bat signal are visible in the Gotham skyline, and the trailer finishes with a showdown with Harley Quinn and the Joker.

Aside from stylized depictions of villains’ hideouts, Batman Rogue City will also include historic Gotham sites. The exciting levels recall cartoon tv series from the 1960s and the 1990s.

Rogue City appears to be a fantastic Batman video game. The mod uses the Doom engine and lets you punch criminals, utilize grappling hooks and stun guns, and fight bosses.
