The Doom franchise is credited for spawning a genre-defining experience that would eventually evolve into the first-person shooters we know and love today. Developed by Id Software, the series focuses on the chronicles of an unnamed space marine dubbed the Doomguy employed under Union Aerospace Corporation, who battles a slew of demons to defend Earth from the forces of hell.

The franchise has pushed out a plethora of sequels and puffs, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Moreover, Doom has spawned offshoots, such as novels, comic books, merchandise, fan arts, and the like.
