Hype, one of the most reputable Dragon Ball insiders, has revealed that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero will reportedly have the biggest roster of characters in any Dragon Ball game preceding it. This includes characters from the original Dragon Ball to the upcoming Dragon Ball Daima anime.
From the trailer itself you can guess but I’ll confirm: Sparking! ZERO will have a huge roster we’ve ever seen, all the way from OG to Daima, including GT as well! pic.twitter.com/M6YvW4aSaA

The record for the largest roster in a Dragon Ball fighting game currently goes to none other than the predecessor, Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3, with a whopping 161 characters in total. As Sparking! Zero is the next entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, it is only befitting that the successor ends up breaking this 18-year-old record.
Additionally, the game’s official website reveals that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has a “historic number of playable characters,” further fueling the potential roster in the game. Also, the new trailer already showcased multiple characters from both Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, so the chances of beloved characters like Beerus making an appearance may not be dull.
