Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero To Hog 77 GB Storage, Leaks Xbox Store

The storage space could change in the future.

Story Highlights

  • Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero will seemingly need 77 GB storage, as leaked by Xbox accidentally on the store.
  • The Xbox store has featured different storage requirements, suggesting it could increase further in the future.
  • It is in development for current-gen consoles and PCs. But no release date has been officially confirmed.

Ever since the success of Budokai Tenkaichi 3, fans have long awaited the next entry in the franchise. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has only recently been announced to quell the growing thirst of fans. However, it may require 77 GB of storage space to be installed. The storage requirement was leaked over on the Xbox store by accident for a few gamers who caught a glimpse while it was still up.

As posted by the fan account @BT4SparkingZERO on Twitter, two sources reported different storage requirements. Initially, the size was 70 GB, but expanded to 77 GB over a few days. An internal update by the devs may have bumped up the file size significantly since it is unlikely that it would vary between different countries. As a result, the total size could be even bigger by the time Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero releases.

The install size could be the same despite the disparities. The Twitter user also shared a video of the leak for everyone to see before it was taken down. I tried looking up the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero file size on the official Xbox page, but to no avail. It has likely been removed for everyone at this point.

All in all, we suggest taking the leak with a pinch of salt. The entry is a long way from its actual release. It appears to be midway in development and is subject to significant changes in the future.

Previous rumors have suggested that the title will boast the largest roster of Dragon Ball characters in contrast to any other game in the series so far. It will feature characters from the original game to Dragon Ball Daima, the upcoming anime in the franchise. Unfortunately, it is rumored to feature microtransactions and may also drop local versus modes entirely.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is in the brewer for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC. The rumors suggest it may come out during the latter half of next year, following the trend of past titles.
