As reported by the famous Dragon Ball YouTuber @SLOplays on Twitter, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero now appears to be getting the much-requested local multiplayer mode. The tidbit was affirmed by Sony in a new update to the game’s PlayStation store page, debunking previous gossip among fans about there being no local versus mode this time around. But for some bad news, microtransactions are also rumored to be a part of the game.

No Budokai Tenkaichi game can truly be complete without a local versus mode. It came as a surprise to many gamers that the feature was not confirmed at all. But Bandai appears to have heard the call of loyal fans and sneakily updated the game page to reflect the change. Unfortunately, the devs have mentioned nothing about a split-screen mode so far.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Is Among The Most Anticipated Releases This Year

Bandai Namco is releasing a new BT entry after making us wait in agony for two decades. It is no wonder that everyone’s expectations are off the charts, and for good reasons. There is much to be excited about when the first 24 teased characters are just different forms of Gokus and Vegetas. In total, the title is going to feature over 160 fighters. Additionally, the fighting mechanic seems to have received much love in the new sequel.
