Playground Games has announced the new series update for Forza Horizon 5 and it brings back Donut Media’s beloved Hi-Low cars alongside a pristine storyline. Titled “Upgrade Heroes,” this series update features new missions, rims, the Horizon Test Track, and fresh unlockable cosmetics. The devs have also released patch notes for this upcoming update to give players a detailed look at the bug fixes and changes.
First up, this patch will add a new engine sound to the 2003 Nissan Fairlady Z in Forza Horizon 5. ASL/BSL will also be introduced to the racing title for part 1 of Donut Media’s Horizon Story. In addition, there will be improved replication of ghosting during the anti-griefing measure in Multiplayer races. For consoles, the steering wheel rotation default value will be fixed from its incorrectly set value.
Next up, traction control will be reactivated after restarting an EventLab from the finish screen in Forza Horizon 5. The bug causing the racing game to crash after receiving an invisible “DLC Car” gift will also be rectified in this update. Furthermore, the Eliminator timeout bar displaying the incorrect time and eliminating players early will not be a problem anymore after this patch.
The “Racing Champion” accolade will also unlock if you win the Horizon Open event in Forza Horizon 5 following this patch. Moreover, the 2021 Audi RS6 Avant steering wheel had inverted shift paddles and incorrect media controls, but this patch will fix this issue. Players will also not have to worry about the Anti-lag pop animation missing on specific cars and body kit combinations in the playground title after this series update.
In addition, the player’s character won’t disappear after you save a photo mode preset in Forza Horizon 5 from now on. Quick chat phrases will show up when using the Logitech G920 d-pad in Freeroam or events following this patch. The major addition in the Upgrade Heroes series update is the Hi-Low story from the American automotive content brand Donut Media.
With four new cars to unlock and 2 unique paths with six chapters each, this fresh story will add 20 new accolades to Forza Horizon 5. The first Donut Media Story introduced players to Horizon Test Track, which is coming back for Upgrade Heroes. You can access this track from the Horizon Festival in Mexico and it also contains 15 brand-new accolades.
In addition to these changes, the new Forza Horizon 5 patch will also introduce 27 pristine rims, 6 new sound effects, and updated badges. A fresh Horizon Racing Car Pack with four incredible new cars will also be available in the game after this patch. Last but not least, five amazing reward cars are part of this update’s festival series, including the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.
These are all of the features part of the upcoming Forza Horizon update which will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
