Genshin Impact 2.1 Update: New Character And Weapon Banners Leaked

Genshin Impact’s 2.1 update is coming soon and players are anxious to know about the new content being released in the game. Particularly, one of the things that many players look forward to is the upcoming new characters and weapons. Yesterday, character banners for three new 4-star characters and one 5-star character were leaked, along with weapon banners for two 5-star weapons.

Genshin Update, a Twitter account for Genshin Impact leaks and rumours, posted a tweet revealing all the upcoming character and weapon banners coming to the game with the 2.1 update. According to the leak, Raiden Shogun will be an upcoming 5-star Electro character, while Sucrose, Xiangling and Kujou Sara will be the featured 4-star characters. Additionally, the two new weapon banners showcase Engulfing Lightning — a Polearm weapon type — and The Unforged — a Claymore weapon type.

It has been a while since players came across Xiangling. The character was previously featured on Hu Tao Banner in March and eight character banners have since been released without her. On the other hand, Sucrose has only been featured recently on the Klee Rerun Banner in June. However, both Xiangling and Sucrose are efficacious support characters in the game.

Since Baal is a Polearm weapon type character, we can assume that Engulfing Lightning, which is of the Polearm weapon type, will also be featured in the Raiden Shogun Banner. The leak also states that The Unforged, which is a very powerful Claymore weapon, will also be featured as a weapon banner with the 2.1 update. However, since The Unforged is rather passive in its abilities, many players are disappointed to hear about its return.

The Unforged’s Base ATK is the lowest among all the 5-star Claymore weapons. Hence, most players that await the new update are likely looking forward to Engulfing Lightning. For many players, the Raiden Shogun Banner could be a good chance to get more constellations for the featured 4-star characters. For some players that have already got their hands on both Xiangling and Sucrose to C6, the upcoming banner might give a decent amount of Masterless Starglitter.
