Ghost of Tsushima Iki Island Screenshots Leaked Ahead of Release, New DLC Map is Huge

Sucker Punch continues to deliver

Ghost of Tsushima is one of the best games that 2020 had to offer. In my opinion, it struck the perfect balance between combat, gameplay, and storyline – all of which made the title a favorite among the people. Some call it a pity that it didn’t grab the Game of the Year award, but Jin Sakai never truly appealed to the official authorities, did he?

Developer Sucker Punch Productions announced a follow-up expansion of the game called Iki Island, which is to come included with the Director’s Cut edition of Ghost of Tsushima. All of this is set to release on 20 August but in a shocking turn of events, it appears that the title has been already surprisingly grabbed by a fellow gamer who happened to be in the right place at the right time.

A YouTuber who goes by the name of Gooshy Gaming has recently dropped a video detailing this whole event. According to him, a person posted in a Ghost of Tsushima gamer group on Facebook that he nabbed the Director’s Cut edition on Walmart. When he first noticed the title on sale, he rushed to get the game, but he couldn’t believe this happening at first.

While the person in question has disclosed many features of the Iki Island DLC, we couldn’t just take their word for it. That was until the same individual posted some truly compelling screenshots whose odds of being fake are extremely slim. Here’s the huge map of the Ikishima island that has leaked ahead of time.

There’s another screenshot of the Iki Island expansion gameplay. It seems to uncover an interesting piece of information where Jin is repeatedly saying to himself, “Can’t let them know I’m from Clan Sakai.” What that entails is currently unknown since not much has been given away regarding the plot of Iki Island.

According to the same leaker, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut includes two new survival maps for the Iki Island expansion which is a substantial addition to the original Legends gameplay mode, and you can even replay duels and missions now. The latter wasn’t possible in the original edition of the game, and it seems that Sucker Punch has truly listened to its community. Duels are some of the most engaging aspects of Ghost of Tsushima – the dialogue in-between, the whole vibe, and, of course, the thrill of the fight are collectively a top-tier experience that you could only get to play once before.

Shedding light on how the PlayStation 5 handles the Director’s Cut, it has been reported that the console is outright incredible in this matter. From the haptic feedback of the DualSense to the draw distance in the game, everything has been revamped, and all the credit goes to the brilliant developer.

The following is what the person has said himself regarding this whole bout.

People are saying that this person could be a Walmart employee since he’s the only one who has managed to get the game and emerge with these leaks. Nevertheless, a trip to your nearest Walmart might be worth the hassle if the person involved is telling the truth.
