The new greenlit Ninja Theory project by Microsoft is apparently Hellblade 3, as claimed by industry insider Gaz on Twitter. He confirmed the tidbit to corroborate a previous rumor by Jez Corden, who also explained that a new title besides Project MARA was recently greenlit for the prominent studio. Microsoft has seemingly approved the new iteration of Hellblade to give devs assurance after Tango Gameworks was closed.
Yep as I said on my show and Discord, Hellblade 3 has already been green lit. Xbox gave Ninja Theory assurances already apparently after the Tango fiasco. Let's see if they keep their word mind. But I'm not worried. https://t.co/k30UhgBOSa

Recently, Ninja Theory thanked the community and commemorated the coming launch of Hellblade 2 on Twitter. However, the message felt more like a goodbye to some gamers, causing Jez and Gaz to come forward and assure the fans that it was not the case. Regardless, I recommend taking this rumor with a huge grain of salt. The studio has not yet shared official details regarding the next Hellblade.

Ninja Theory May Bring Hellblade 3 Sooner Than We Expected
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is launching over half a decade after the original entry came out. However, creating the entry has not taken as long as you’d think, with devs starting to work on it in 2020. Many elements, such as the pandemic, switching over to Unreal Engine 5, and building a new mocap facility beforehand, resulted in such a long delay in its release. So, it’s quite likely that Hellblade 3 could come out in a matter of a few years.
