She aspires to help people "feel understood."

Story Highlights

  • Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is the next big Xbox exclusive that the world’s got its eyes on at the moment.
  • Expressing her thoughts about the project, Melina Juergens recently spoke with Xbox Wire in a new post.
  • Having experienced similar issues, Melina wants to make mental health problems more known.

As Xbox looks forward to expanding its brand by opening doors to multi-platform availability of its first-party games, there’s this one game that still falls under the exclusivity label, and at this moment in time, it’s an understatement to say that fans are just excited for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. Talk about photorealistic visuals, exceptional level design, and more from all that we’ve seen so far.

Speaking to Xbox Wire in a new post, however, the voice and mo-cap actress of Senua — the protagonist — Melina Juergens reveals her aspirations and speaks about the ideology behind the project at length, saying how she wants mental health problems to be heard more.

I want to help people, I want to raise awareness around mental health and help them feel understood. I have experience with these ailments – how can I turn that into something meaningful? Senua has made peace with her past, but she’s more in control of the visions and voices. She’s not overcoming psychosis, but she knows how to manage it better,” says the mo-cap and voice actress of Senua.
