Overdose aka OD is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 and incorporates new technologies such as Meta Human. Hideo parted ways with Konami after Metal Gear Solid 5 in the 2010s and later formed Kojima Productions to develop projects without being limited in creativity. This led to the birth of Death Stranding, a rather bold yet unique take on video games. Kojima Productions pushed the boundaries of multiplayer experiences in gaming with Hideo referring to DS as the first “strand game” citing how Metal Gear was originally considered an action game due to the stealth genre not being established at the time. With critics and players praising the game for its innovation, the studio continued to work on the series with a sequel currently in development.

Last year, eXputer reported on a leak for Overdose that featured early gameplay footage. Keeping in line with his previous work, it appears that Kojima Productions is once again gearing up to deliver a unique experience in gaming with OD. As to how this will turn out, it’s anybody’s guess.
