In a new general meeting, Lords of the Fallen publisher CI Games revealed that its next premiere game will hit the market in 2025. Titled “Project Survive,” this upcoming production will encompass the survival genre and will utilize Unreal Engine 5 in development as per the studio. With a budget of €20 million (around $25.3 million), Project Survive seems to be one of the most expensive projects CI Games has in its pipeline.
The Lords of the Fallen developer expanded on the topic of Project Survive, saying that it is considering releasing it in early access. However, only the 2025 release date is set in stone as of now and everything else is uncertain. Besides the survival games, CI Games also has another production titled “Project III” in the works.
CI Games originally developed the RPG in 2014 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with Bandai Namco being the publisher. Back then, Lords of the Fallen was a moderate success, selling almost a million copies and garnering mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. A reboot of the action RPG was then published last year by CI Games and went on to sell over a million copies in just ten days despite mixed reviews.
The Lords of the Fallen reboot launched on October 13, 2023, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. Our review of the RPG rated it 3.5/5, with Haris Umer calling it “one of the better Soulslikes.” If you are about to start playing, this guide on the game’s best Long Swords will certainly help you out.
