Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater has officially been announced in full remake fashion at the PlayStation Showcase. One of the highly rumored and anticipated titles ever since the word first started spreading online, Big Boss is crawling his way onto PlayStation 5. The previous entry in the Metal Gear franchise was Konami‘s take on the series with multiplayer at its core, Metal Gear Survive. Needless to say, it went up in flames.
Metal Gear Solid V is hailed as a masterpiece for its achievements in the gameplay and immersion department. An open-world stealth setting combined with the building systems at play allows players to develop the Motherbase, taking the game to great heights despite the gaps in its story and narrative. Not to mention the problems between Konami and Hideo Kojima.
Fans have since wanted Metal Gear to return but it’s always been clear that there will be no new entry without Kojima. The next best thing was to bring back the classics as remakes and what better choice than the game where it all began? At least in terms of the story. After countless rumors and speculative debates, leaks that were taken with generous servings of salt, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater has finally gotten an official announcement.
Big Boss makes is arriving in the modern era of gaming.
