New Blood Reveals A Fallout-Style CRPG On Fallout’s 25th Anniversary

New Blood Interactive‘s CEO Dave Oshry took to Twitter to reveal the first look of their new Fallout-style CRPG to honor Fallout’s 25th anniversary.

New Blood is known for its classic, retro-styled CRPGs. However, for this new upcoming game, they’ve announced that they’re changing the perspective of combat.

New Blood’s new unannounced retro futurist isometric CRPG draws its inspiration from classic fallout games. But it won’t feature the same “slow n’ clunky” nature of the turn-based combat.

Fallout, the first game in the series, came out in 1997. The CRPG game is celebrating its 25th anniversary today. The first Fallout set the foundation for the franchise. With time, the Fallout games evolved into action RPGs, with Fallout 76 being the latest addition to the series.

However, for the fans of the classic Fallout, this upcoming game will be a treat to play.

Aside from inspiration, the talent behind the game has also worked on some fallout classics. Alexander Berezin, the artist behind Fallout Sonora and Olympus 2207, and Mark Morgan, the composer behind Fallout and Wasteland, are also working on this New Blood project.

While it’s old news that New Blood has been working on a new project CRPG project based on the first Fallout game and that the project was in development for a long time, the Tweet by Dave Oshry above confirms that it will still take a long time to reveal or become playable fully. 

The unannounced CRPG game will feature hand-crafted levels. Co-op and most characters from the New Blood Universe will be in the game. Other than that, the game will also feature a built-in level editor.

New Blood has always been known for making and publishing retro-style games. But this new CRPG game is their “Passion Project.” The game will likely be the best CRPG game coming from them yet.

New Blood is also the maker and publisher of DUSK, AMID EVIL, and GLOOMWOOD, which are appreciated by fans of the CRPG genre all over the globe.
