New Monster Hunter Game Allegedly Leaked In Discord Data Mine

Monster Hunter: Paradise, as it is allegedly called, may or may not be a spin-off of the franchise.

Role-playing games are probably the most popular genre of gaming worldwide. This niche has dozens of famous franchises with more and more new franchises from major studios joining every year. One of the most recognizable role-playing franchises around the world is Monster Hunter.

Even though Monster Hunter has been around for a while, it only got prominent around the globe recently. Monster Hunter: World was its major breakthrough in the Western markets and it has been going up since then. The series has collectively sold 80 million copies, making it one of Capcom‘s biggest players.

Players always wait for new games when such a big series is in question. Even though its recent mainline title, Monster Hunter: Rise, was only released a year ago, speculation about the next game has been high. Recently, a leak may have allegedly told us the name of this upcoming Monster Hunter game.

Earlier today, a new leak based on a Discord data mine suggests that a new game in the franchise, allegedly called “Monster Hunter: Paradise”, is on the way (thanks, @neonaga99). What’s more, is that an official Discord associate has confirmed this, according to the data miner. We can see the alleged title’s name in the Discord screenshot.

The game will allegedly release on both PlayStation and Xbox consoles, according to the leak. However, no one has any idea if this is going to be the main game in the franchise or another spin-off. Some people, including an accredited content creator for Monster Hunter games on YouTube, Josh from RageGamingVideos, think that it is going to be a spin-off of the franchise.

Capcom released Monster Hunter: Sunbreak just last year, so a new main game coming this soon is unlikely. However, many think that it can be the main entry from the franchise and not just a spin-off. Players are even saying that “Paradise” in the title suggests a return of underwater combat to the series.

It’s worth mentioning that back in November 2020, Monster Hunter 6, the upcoming installment to the franchise, was revealed to be released in 2023, in a massive cyber-attack that targeted Capcom. However, all of this is just speculation as of now. Furthermore, a lot of players are skeptical about the credibility of this data mine and think that it might just be fake.

Something like this did happen before in 2019 when Monster Hunter World: Iceborne had just come out. We were hearing rumors of a new “Monster Hunter Victory”, but that obviously turned out to be fake, so it may be a repeat of that situation and a complete hoax.
