- Persona 3 is a turn-based Dungeon Crawler/Social sim hybrid JRPG by ATLUS and is part of the Persona series.
- Recently, a user on Reddit posted footage from an alleged remake of the game.
- The footage showed off one of the primary party members from Persona 3, Yukari Takeba.
An allegedly leaked footage of the highly rumored remake of Persona 3 has just emerged on the internet. The footage shows off one of Persona 3’s main party members, Yukari Takeba, shooting down a shadow with her bow. The video itself comes from an anonymous source on Reddit that was previously deleted and has been posted yet again.
The footage itself is interesting because as users on Twitter have already pointed out, it is a little too detailed to be a fan animation. What’s even more suspicious is that the model of Yukari used in this particular video is supposedly not from any existing official or fan-made source. The only slight “flaw” that might suggest it could be fake was the somewhat choppy-looking animation for firing the bow itself.
What’s also interesting here is that the shadow being fought is one of the shadows you encounter as normal enemies in the original Persona 3. That enemy in particular is weak to Yukari’s damage type. Even more intriguingly, the footage was leaked ahead of another live Persona concert set for some time today. The announcement for the live stream also teased some “exciting news” for the event.

However, we advise fans to approach this rumor with a grain of salt. As many already know, a Persona 3 remake is one of the most highly anticipated Atlus titles to date so fabricated footage is not out of the question. Furthermore, an announcement of a remake is highly unlikely at least right now. This is because Atlus has only just released a remaster of Persona 3 in January with the PC and console ports of Persona 3 Portable.
As a Persona fan myself, I certainly hope this leads to something. Persona 3 is arguably the most interesting entry in the series with a comparatively much darker storyline and more interesting characters. It also retroactively fixes a lot of the problems I have with the later Persona games. Seeing everything that’s so good about it polished even further while also having most of its issues ironed out would be a dream come true.
