VOID Interactive recently posted on their Twitter teasing a new update for their tactical SWAT FPS Ready or Not. The developers confirmed that a big announcement is imminent and will be confirmed during The Game Awards on December 7th. After 2 years in Early Access, it won’t be too far-fetched to assume that this update could be a potential release date for the full release of Ready or Not.
The calls for an update have been heard, and it's time for a reckoning. The Game Awards are just 7 days away, and you better strap in, 'cause we've got some damn exciting news for Ready or Not. Tune in on December 7th @ 7:30pm ET. #Thegameawards #TGA #ReadyorNot pic.twitter.com/95OoITrjMa

Ready or Not is a tactical FPS highly influenced by the likes of the early Rainbow Six and SWAT games, which were beloved for their slow-paced, tactical gameplay letting players command a team of operatives across various locations.
Ready or Not in particular is known for its dark and deeply disturbing content which has landed the game in numerous controversies over the years. In December 2021, VOID Interactive got into trouble for announcing that one of their upcoming levels would take place inside a school. The developers responded to the controversy stating that they will remain adamant to their vision.
Another level in the game referenced the 2016 Pulse Nightclub shooting in which 49 people were killed. Soon after this update, Ready or Not was promptly (and temporarily) delisted from Steam following the use of copyright-infringing content. The game was added back on Steam once VOID Interactive removed the offenses made.
The Game Awards is expected to feature a lot of announcements this year as show host Geoff Keighley continues to build excitement via Twitter. Only yesterday, Keighley confirmed that this year’s TGA will feature a guest appearance from the band “Poets of the Fall” who play the role of a fictional in-game band in Alan Wake 2 with the pseudonym of “Old Gods of Asgard.”
