Resident Evil Village is measuring up to be a game worth waiting for. Ever since its announcement back in June 2020, there has been a bevy of anticipation for this up-and-coming FPS survival thriller. Promotional campaigns haven’t been any slug either, as Lady Dimitrescu—the lady herself—has been making appearances in a cut-out form to gather even more hype.
Now, however, we have something entirely different to pay our attention to. AestheticGamer, otherwise known as Dusk Golem, has proved to be a reliable source when it boils down to leaks and rumors, especially for the series of Resident Evil. The latest coming from him is an additional difficulty mode planned for Resident Evil Village. Reportedly, it’s going to be of similar nature as the “Ethan Must Die” mode in Resident Evil 7. Take a look at Dusk Golem’s tweet below.
Aside from being set on the core principle as the “Ethan Must Die” mode from Resident Evil 7, this revamped addition to Resident Evil Village is going to be exceptionally difficult, as Golem confirms. He says that enemies will be randomized, along with arbitrary placement of items in the game. This will, in turn, make the game insanely harder, though adding replay value, and a seemingly new challenge for gamers all across the spectrum.
As the release date nears for the next installment of this iconic franchise, more and more details are starting to emerge. However, as far as official news is concerned regarding everything that’s rumored for Resident Evil Village, Capcom has been silent. It’s possible that they’re intending for players to experience everything on their own, and holding back on releasing more info.
