Silent Hill 2 Remake Arrives On September 29 According To Store Listing

It turns out we will be delving into the horrors of Silent Hill very soon.

                                                                            Story Highlights

  • The Silent Hill 2 Remake will reportedly launch on 29th September according to a store listing from the Australian games store, “Gorilla Gaming.”
  • The game costs 89 Australian Dollars which translates to 60 US Dollars.
  • The game is also available for pre-order in certain stores such as Gorilla Gaming and Play-Asia.

September continues getting increasingly crowded as the upcoming Silent Hill 2 Remake is also supposedly launching in late September. An Australian store by the name of “Gorilla Gaming” has a listing for the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake with a set release date of 29th September. The game is also available for pre-order not only on Gorilla Gaming but also on another store called Play-Asia

The release date makes sense as it would coincide surprisingly well with the release of the original Silent Hill 2 which was released on September 24th, 2001, setting the remake’s date as barely a week after the 22nd anniversary of Silent Hill 2.

Moreover, the game’s price on Gorilla Gaming is listed as 89 Australian Dollars which roughly translates to 60 US Dollars, which suggests that Konami won’t be adopting the $70 price point for their newest titles just yet.

This marks September as one of the busiest months of the year as far as new game releases are concerned. If what is suggested about this release date is true, then Silent Hill 2 will be right in the center of other high-profile releases such as Lies of P, Mortal Kombat 1, and Starfield

The Silent Hill 2 Remake has generated a fair amount of controversy since its announcement from die-hard fans of the series because of its legacy. However, the skepticism largely stems from the pedigree of its developers Bloober Team, and their lackluster portfolio of horror titles.

The team has been criticized for their flawed interpretation of what makes Silent Hill 2 so special, as well as their view towards mental health in their most recent title, “The Medium.” Skepticism aside, players who have been eagerly awaiting this remake should feel satisfied knowing that the game’s launch is only 3 months away, at least if what this leak suggests is true.
