Stellar Blade Director Says Players Can Unlock All Extra Content By Just Playing

In a new interview, Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung Tae stated that all the additional content in the game can be acquired through gameplay without needing to spend any extra money. While talking to Push Square, the dev revealed that players will have the option to buy these items from the game’s shop but can easily unlock them by just completing quests and exploring.

The Stellar Blade creator further explained that you will be able to unlock different hairstyles through quests in addition to other accessories like earrings, glasses, and costumes. Hence, as per Kim Hyung Tae, you can enjoy collecting these items without having to pay any additional money as in-app purchases aren’t enforced.

There are about 30 different outfits available in the game, and they’re all acquirable through gameplay. So, you can explore, go on a quest, or go to the in-game shop to purchase them. You can enjoy that collecting element of the game. Also, by going on quests you get to unlock hairstyles, so you can customise different looks. And there are other accessories like earrings and glasses. But the important part is that these are all acquirable in-game without any additional purchases.”

The action-adventure game, originally titled Project Eve, features the main character Eve as she faces off against the alien Naytiba race while helping Xion, the last city on Earth, and tries to regain control of Earth. With a massive 25-hour main story, Stellar Blade also features a myriad of side activities like fishing and other quests that will take up to 50 hours to complete.

Shift Up’s latest venture will launch on April 26, 2024, only for the PlayStation 5.
