TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge Has Earned €22.9 Million Since Release

Hauling in the big bucks.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles if not for its iconic legacy of being a high-quality cartoon show is most certainly recognized globally for its slew of top-tier video games. One of the latest entries in the franchise — TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge — has come about to do exceptionally well, amassing a total of €22.9 Million up until now.

Shredder’s Revenge is available on a wide variety of consoles today and was released back in June 2022. It’s been a little over 2 months since the title’s official landing day, but time plays no constructive role in attributing to the game’s terrific success in this case.

The Rundown:

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a thrilling side-scroller with gorgeous retro-styled graphics. The game ever since it was launched in June 2022 has managed to earn over €22 million over a span of two-three months.
  • The reveal comes from the official Focus Entertainment “Investors” page. Thanks to MauroNL for spotting the earnings report first.
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a multi-platform game available for purchase on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Linux, and PC.

The reveal comes from Focus Entertainment‘s second quarter of the fiscal year 2022-2023 earnings. The company has multiple subsidiaries with Dotemu — the publisher of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge — being one of them.

You can grab the title on Steam if you haven’t already. The title will set you back for about $12.49 at the moment, but fall sales are just around the corner if you’d prefer waiting and letting the side-scroller go on discount first. The catchy graphics, the hit of nostalgia, and the terrific combat gameplay all make the affair worth our time.

Considering the overall appeal of the 3D side-scroller at the time of its launch, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has definitely turned out to be a flavor of success. The 80s-style game design on top of the enticing storyline always keeps aspiring gamers on the edge of their seats as they play through the mainline story.

The prominent highlight of the title, however, seems to confide in its co-op capacity, where up to 6 players can enjoy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge simultaneously. Each player can step into the boots of any of the iconic Ninja Turtles, including Donatello, Michaelangelo, Raphael, and Leo—the leader of the turtles.

Even more so, the system requirements needed to run the game aren’t too troublesome either, given the retro build of the game. Shredder’s Revenge is even playable on Linux machines, should you choose to opt for one of them. On Steam, the title boasts a fantastic overall rating with a “Very Positive” statement.

If you’re a fan of the classic show that aired live on television back in the 80s, you’re going to love going on this trip down memory lane.

Everything from the voiceover of the various characters, both heroes and villains, to the way the combat mechanics of the title is laid out, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is nothing but a treat to enjoy, thereby being highly deserving of the sales milestone the title has just achieved.
