The Last Of Us Creator Neil Druckmann Says He Doesn’t Have Many Games Left In Him

In a new interview, The Last of Us creator Neil Druckmann has said that he doesn’t think he has many games left in him. While talking to Logic on the rapper’s YouTube channel, the game dev said at the 49:00 mark that he doesn’t see himself making video games at this scale for a long time as managing several studios worldwide is extremely stressful.

Druckmann also mentioned his kids, saying that he is at a stage in his life where he needs to prioritize them and he wants to spend the limited time he has with them.

Furthermore, The Last of Us creator also said that he sees himself transitioning to a more lowkey role in the future that still gives him creative freedom. While he did talk about retiring in the interview, Neil Druckmann also gave us an insight into his upcoming project, saying working on it is making him really happy. The developer said that it’s very ambitious and parts of the project are hard.

I’ve had other opportunities that I’ve really enjoyed like the HBO show, the Universal Theme Park – I guess I’ll say, I dont see myself doing this forever at this scale. Its a lot, and it takes a lot out of you. It’s very stressful to manage that many people and multiple studios worldwide. I’ve started thinking about how many of these games I have in me, and its not that many.”
