Story Highlights
- Manor Lords is Slavic Magic’s latest medieval city sim that came out 2 days ago in early access.
- The title has rolled over more than a million copies over the course of 24 hours.
- Not only that, but the peak concurrent player count on Steam for Manor Lords has hit 170,000+.
Well, this one came out of nowhere and swooped Steam charts like a knock-out. Manor Lords, the debut project of Slavic Magic, which is run by a solo developer going by the name of Greg Styczeń, has sold more than 1 million copies across the board and amassed a sizable community on Steam as well. All this within a day’s work. The future sure looks radiant for this aspiring new city builder sim.
Since yesterday’s launch Manor Lords has already sold over 1 million copies & hit a peak Steam concurrent player count of 170k – highest ever for a city builder (or for other different genres like GSG/4x/colony sim). Congrats LordsManor, we’re honored to serve as your publisher!”
What’s more, is that the game is currently in early access, and available at a reduced price on Steam, as opposed to its $19.99 MSRP. On Xbox, however, you can get it for $39.99 at the moment, or play for free if you’re a Game Pass subscriber.
Manor Lords Is Making A Killing Out There
Reportedly, the developer of the game has been working for seven years on this passion project of his, acting solo for the most part, though Greg says he’s now trying to “partner up” wherever possible. Manor Lords also got wishlisted a colossal three million times on Steam, garnering even more attention to its name than what Greg possibly could’ve anticipated.
Did one guy actually build this whole game?

The game was released on April 26, 2024, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The developer says that it plans on keeping Manor Lords in early access for at least 1 year, but this could change down the road for better or worse as feedback is received and changes are implemented. On a side note, here’s how you can trade in Manor Lords, followed by a quick guide on generating regional wealth.
