Madden NFL 23 Now Optimized For 120 FPS On Xbox Series X|S

"They will showcase unparalleled load-times, visuals, responsiveness, and framerates up to 120FPS."

The Madden NFL franchise has always been under fire from critics and players alike, always underdelivering on all aspects. On average, the ratings that these titles make on Metacritic are almost always lower than 10%, which is not very appealing.

The Madden NFL microtransaction practices were also a big concern and a large source of hate fueling players across the globe. However, aside from all this criticism, microtransaction malpractices, and the sullied name of Electronic Arts, Madden NFL is still a playable game; to some extent, it is even enjoyable.

Recently, on the official Xbox website for Madden NFL 23, we received a few details on what we can expect for the new title, “They will showcase unparalleled load-times, visuals, responsiveness, and framerates up to 120FPS.” This is all kept to utilize the revolutionary next-generation Xbox Series X|S hardware.

Madden NFL 23
Madden NFL 23 confirmed to be optimized for 120 FPS on the Xbox Series X|S, according to the official Xbox website.

Some of the confirmed features include 4K Ultra HD, High Dynamic Range, and, of course, 120 frames per second. Another thing of interest is a new FieldSENSE feature, “FieldSENSE leverages animation branching technology and a suite of new user control mechanics for a seamless gameplay flow with authentic results on every play.”

They also talk about new mechanics which utilize next-generation Hit-Stick physics. With this, players will be able to perform “mid-air knockouts, hit the pile to assist in tackles, blow up blocks, and force turnovers with stand up tackles.”

Madden NFL 23 is banking on the new generation of consoles to redeem the franchise’s name, and if this will be successful or not is yet to be seen. Although playing the game on a higher frame rate may sound like it is being reinvented, in reality, it is probably far from that. However, these additions do spell hope for the franchise.

After seeing these new additions being made to this long-running franchise, one could say that this might be the big break that the franchise needs. However, at the same time, it could just be a re-run of what has been occurring for the last few games of the franchise.
