Mighty Doom Has Amassed 1 Million Players Before Even Releasing

As per Bethesda, 1 million players on Android and iOS have pre-registered for Mighty Doom. The upcoming mobile game had its reveal last month on February 21 with a trailer. Bethesda also opened pre-registration for the title, and a million users have taken advantage of this opportunity. Developer Alpha Dog Games is working on the Doom game, and it will release for mobiles on March 21, 2023.

Mighty Doom is an action shooter game that you’ll play from a top-down perspective. It has a new protagonist in the form of “Mini Slayer,” and it takes place in an alternate universe the trailer calls the “animated Doom universe.” Collectible toys present in Doom Eternal inspire this universe, and it is apparent in the animated CGI trailer. Officially, Bethesda describes the game as a,

Adorably violent top-down, single-touch action shooter.”

In addition to being a top-down action shooter, Mighty Doom has run & gun combat. The mobile game also consists of rogue-lite gameplay influences. Alpha Dog Games‘ superficial take on the Doom universe is reinforced by the story. Our protagonist is called to action and makes his way to an alternate dimension after an energy surge in a Gibbo toy factory.

Like the main Doom titles, your task is to annihilate the demons as they prevent you from rescuing your pet bunny Daisy. With this fun premise, it’s not hard to see why so many fans have pre-registered for Mighty Doom.
