Blizzard Entertainment has just released the highly awaited official patch 1.0.2 for Diablo 4, solving some of the major issues that have roamed the servers of the game. The official changes and fixes are out for the small patch notes detailing all the improvements for the early access users. Moreover, the devs have also raised the monster health values in later world tiers, to make combat even more gratifying and balanced for the pro players.
The small patch notes focuses on two class specializations; for the Sorcerer, the Flame Shield Enchantment will be given a full cooldown when it is placed in an enchantment slot after being initially equipped. The change was likely made to quench the complaints of the overpowered ability since the full cooldown will now balance the Diablo 4 playthrough for a player.
For the Rogue class, the Inner Sight ability has also seen a change to balance the power dynamic between enemies and characters. A four-second delay will be applied before another enemy is marked after the Inner Sight’s unlimited energy expires. In the “Items” part, the 1.0.2 hotfix only made a single change, removing the affix for the Shout Skill Cooldown Reduction.
The update mainly focuses on fixing server-related issues to enhance the user experience, and no extra downloads are needed for Diablo 4 since the update is focused on the servers. In other words, players will not even notice the new update easily. This was all for the small hotfix, but we may see some major improvements to Diablo 4 servers and the overall game in the future as more player criticism reaches the passionate devs.
The action RPG has been praised for plenty of reasons by early-access players, with some basking in the dark and nostalgic setting that returns back to its roots while others have relished some monster slaying with intricately crafted combat. However, a lack of meaningful choices in the story was criticized alongside balances in difficulty that can either be too easy or hard at times. Nevertheless, the patch notes will continue to improve the latter.
It has only recently become available for a select number of users, causing many to relish the fourth mainline installment in the prominent Diablo series. While the initial reception has proven fantastic, some server issues have still thwarted the hardcore visceral experience due to the huge inflow of gamers. The latest 1.0.2 hotfix solve some of the issues that were found via user reports while balancing out a few other things.
Diablo 4 has sold like hotcakes on sales even before the official release, as per Blizzard Entertainment’s recent financial reports. The entry is expected to improve the company’s monthly active users, as more players populate Diablo 4’s servers. It is slated for a global release on June 6th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
