Bandai Namco has recently filed a trademark for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 in the US. As initially spotted by Gematsu, the publisher has secured the Japanese version of the name dubbed “Sparking! Zero,” possibly hinting towards a new piece of news. It has rightfully sparked a new jolt of interest in the fans who have been awaiting an update ever since the official reveal of the sequel at the beginning of this year.
The trademark was filed by Bandai Namco at the United States Patents and Trademark Office on September 26 but only recently came to attention. It has caught everyone’s gaze because it affirms the prior rumor that Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 would be called Sparking in Japan. Dragon Ball: Budokai Tenkaichi is called the Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! in Japan. The following two titles in the series also follow a similar name format in the region.

The entry was under the works with the same name, per the buzzes. After the rumor confirmation, even more users have become convinced that we may be getting a possible reveal date or anything else interesting after the long radio silence from the devs. The new trademark has been the first official update in months by Bandai Namco if you can call it that.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 has been rumored to come out in early 2024 in the past. The prominent leaker and the Youtuber Geekdom in the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi industry has also previously elaborated that the upcoming sequel is going to release sooner than most people realize. However, little to nothing is actually known about anything else for the upcoming DBZ venture.
The voice actor Sonny Strait also seemingly hinted that voice work for an undisclosed Dragon Ball Z title had started a little under one month ago; fans presumed he was talking about Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4. As also previously rumored, we may see more news or another reveal come out of the Dragon Ball panel that is taking place at New York Comic-Con on October 12.
