FromSoftware Reveals Its Secret To Frequently Releasing AAA Titles

Hidetaka Miyazaki, president of FromSoftware, has revealed that the studio is blessed with a great staff which allows them to release AAA games as frequently as they do without compromising on quality. Speaking to IGN, Miyazaki went on to talk about Dark Souls 2‘s significance on the series, his role as supervisor, and new directors moving forward. This conversation led to him being asked about how the studio could work at such a timely pace.

I don’t know if it’s some great secret… but generally we are just blessed with a great staff who love to create these games and who are, I think you could say, efficient at creating games.”

Mizayaki goes on to explain how FromSoftware manages to streamline the process of AAA development. According to him, the team is quickly able to figure out what they want to make and form decisions during the early stages of a project.

Coming up with ideas during the initial phase and leaving them on the chopping board allows them to maneuver with ease and expedite the process. Something that requires a lot of trust and the team knowing what makes a great FromSoftware game.
