Agefield High: Rock the School is attempting to fill the troublemaking, open-world void Rockstar left behind with Bully. The school-based adventure will launch for PC on 12th August, 2026, although console versions are planned for later this year.

Agefield High: Rock the School Arrives On PC First

Developed by Refugium Games, Agefield High: Rock the School places players in the role of a student navigating school life, friendships, classes, and plenty of extracurricular trouble. Its premise has naturally invited comparisons with Bully, but this is an independent project rather than an official sequel or Rockstar production.

According to the Steam Page: A coming-of-age adventure about friendship, love, and rebellion inspired by the raunchy teen comedies of the era.

That familiarity could attract an audience that has spent years asking for Bully 2. However, it also creates enormous expectations for a considerably smaller production.

Players should approach it as an indie interpretation of the school-life sandbox formula, not a replacement produced with Rockstar’s budget and experience.

Early Impressions Raise Serious Concerns

Unfortunately, the first public preview reportedly did not leave a particularly strong impression. IGN highlighted extensive criticism of the preview build, including concerns surrounding its presentation, dialogue, animations, and overall level of polish.

That does not automatically doom the final game. Preview builds can be unfinished, and Refugium Games still has time to address technical issues before release. Still, an August launch leaves the developer with a fairly narrow window to turn those concerns around.

The concept remains appealing because very few games have seriously explored the same territory as Bully. An open-world school adventure with classes, social systems, and teenage mischief should have an audience. The difficult part will be delivering those ideas with enough personality and polish to stand on their own.
