Released way back in 2019, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 was a huge success for Ubisoft. Not only did the game sell over 10 million copies, but it also has a massive player base even now. Considering the positive feedback the multiplayer action roleplaying game got, this success was no surprise. Even in 2022, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is getting heaps of content from the company, and it seems like yet another new game mode might be coming to freshen up the game even more, according to a recent leak.
GrumpierFaceman, a streamer on Twitch, recently said that a new game mode called “Heartland” is coming to Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 soon. He mentioned this in a tweet alongside some uploaded videos showcasing this new game mode under an announcement from the game’s Twitter official account. We can clearly see a new game mode in action in these videos.

Furthermore, the streamer said that this new game mode allows you to take anything you want into an encounter. You will be present in a zone with other competing players. Losing the stuff is not an option as it will result in you losing everything in the zone. We don’t know for sure what this means but these were the exact words of the insider in his tweet. It gives Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 a “very Tarkov meets Vigor vibe.” according to the streamer.
Conveniently, the announcement from the game’s official Twitter account was also about a new game mode. However, nothing much was revealed in the official tweet from the account; only that the game mode will go live on the Player Testing Sever on 1st April. Players can play this new game mode and give their feedback to the development team.

The footage shown by the streamer in the tweet is also some promising evidence. Although, there is one slight concern. “Heartland,” or Tom Clancy’s The Division: Heartland, is supposed to be a spin-off of the game taking place in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 universe. So, this new game mode getting the same name is somewhat suspicious. However, this could be some sort of marketing for this new spin-off. However, all of this is speculation at the moment and nothing is certain, so do take it with a grain of salt.
