Now, for the first encounter during Act 1, you can find her to the east of Druid Grove on a path made of dirt near the edge of a cliff.

And as stated before, you will find her struggling to compose a song. Furthermore, you will have to go through a series of dialogues and choices before you get to the end reward. Also, during this encounter, there will be two performance checks which, if you fail, will end thmeetinger. So it is a good idea to save the game beforehand.

The first set of choices will be presented to you when you approach her at the start, and the choices you are given are as follows:

  • Stay silent and listen.
  • What’s that tune you’re singing?
  • How can I put this? That sounded a little unpolished.
  • Leave.

Among these choices, you are free to choose any choice you like other than the Leave option. Also, try not to be rude to Alfira in BG3, as it can end the encounter.

Moving on, you will have another set of choices which are as follows:

  • Let me see if I can help.
  • That’s the creative process for you. Agony and ecstasy. Mostly agony.
  • Why are you songwriting now? Hardly the best time.
  • You’d better swap that lute for a weapon. You’ll need one soon enough.
  • Leave.

From these options, it is crucial that you use the “Let me see if I can help” option as it is needed to proceed further to gaining the rewards.

After this, there will be another set of choices which will include the following choices:

  • First things first, what’s the song about?
  • Hand me that lute. We can perform together.
  • Leave.

From here, pick the second option and then select the performance check, where you will have to roll higher than 15, which can be challenging. However, if you fail the first time, you are given another chance where you will have to roll higher than 10. You have to at least pass one of the two checks, after which you will gain the lute and the card actions.

Thus you will be able to sing several songs which include the following:

  • Bard Dance.
  • The Power.
  • Of Divinity And Sin.
  • Sing For Me.
  • Old Time Battles.
  • The Queen’s High Seas.

Furthermore, you also gain proficiency with musical instruments, as Alfira will teach you. And with that, your first encounter with Alfira is completed.

Second Encounter With Alfira At The Camp

Whether you have the first encounter or not, Alfira will meet you at the camp in BG3. She appears at your camp once you have spoken with Kagha at Druid Grove. She will ask to join your band. Moving on, if you accept her offer, she will be murdered, and you will have blood on your hands once you awake.

Now, here you have three choices you can choose to investigate and get to the bottom of the murder, or try to hide the evidence by washing your hands and rolling over the body to try to hide it, or you can just stand there and accept that you committed the murder.

Afterward, Gale will accuse you of the murder, and you can either accept it, deny it, or rather blame it on a wild boar if you have washed your hands and tried to hide the evidence. And with that, both encounters with Alfira have been completed.
